It is imperative that their printers are working correctly, and that our customers receive top-notch service at all times. • Use electro-mechanical skills to repair devices. Xerox provides training by certified instructors, as well as online and in-house training. A good foundation of electrical and mechanical knowledge will help you learn copier and printer repair quickly. • Achieve key productivity goals. The Service Engineer is a member of the Americas Customer Team, operating from the Regional Customer Service Centre in Northern Virginia. Reporting to the Americas Regional Engineering Manager, the candidate will support Civil Aerospace customers operating in the Americas region. FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking for a full time Field Service Technician to service and maintain seismic and ground penetration radar systems at a number of open mining sites throughout Nevada, Utah and Colorado.

The Field Service Technician will travel to perform scheduled monthly service and as will trouble-shoot seismic equipment and radar system while in operation. The seismic and radar systems require monthly service and calibration to ensure optimal operation . The technician will work outdoors and interact with managers at mining sites and will have the support of other factory trained personnel located at in Salt Lake City and Denver.

The Field Service Technician should be able to perform software updates, electronic and electro-mechanical PM and repairs on ground penetration equipment and radar systems located at open pit mines.

The Fields Service Technician will also perform preventive-maintenance on support equipment such as small generators and other small back up equipment.

This is very interesting work and you will work on state of the art equipment, if you enjoy working in the field, travel while driving a vehicle and enjoy meeting people this might the right job for you. You will mainly travel to gold mines in Nevada about 70% traveling and 30% working from home while filing reports and documentation.

What you will be doing in this role:
Commissioning and Warranty of locomotives and/or coaches.
Troubleshooting and analysis of failures on locomotives or coaches.
Perform with the use of mechanical drawings, schematics and location circuit plans, electrical and mechanical repairs of various components.
Use laptops with subsystem software to troubleshoot various systems onboard the locomotives.
Diagnose electrical malfunctions in locomotive or coach control circuits and components, assess the nature of problems, and identify corrective action needed.
Read, interpret and understand written or electronic information to identify the Root cause of a failures and compile reports for your site lead and warranty manager.
Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.
Implementation of Field Modifications (FMI's) to improve the quality of our product.
Document failures, part exchanges, implementation of FMI's and your performed work in our Commissioning and Warranty data base.
Communicate in a team, to the site lead and colleagues, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, improvements and other work-related information.
Receive and send out failed parts for repair.
Work with shop machines and hand tools.

3 years commissioning experience
High school diploma (or GED)
Interpersonal skills and ability to work in team
Individual must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.

Job Description

Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications including advanced troubleshooting of software driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture including, but not limited to, legacy analog, advanced digital P25 and data infrastructure. Maintain, optimize, test and document complex communications systems. Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments. Must have very strong knowledge of wired communications systems, such as local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), must be proficient in computer network installation, configuration and maintenance systems to include cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and bridges. Must be capable of performing maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshooting to resolve system/application related issues.


Basic Requirements

Associates degree/Technical Certificate or 2 years experience in Field/Systems Tech, Networking, IT, Radio Frequency or LMR.

What will you do?
