Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Collection System Technician performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and manual work in the repair, cleaning, locating, and inspection of the wastewater collections system. This role involves operating various light construction equipment and wastewater system cleaning and maintenance tools, including hydro-cleaning and jetting sewer lines.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties related to the wastewater collection system, including operating a hydro-jetter to remove debris from pipes and vacuuming debris from lift stations and storm drains.
Engage in activities associated with the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of sewer and storm drain facilities and equipment.
Test sewer systems for faulty connections, leaks, and illegal connections.
Perform hydro-cleaning and jetting of sewer lines to ensure proper flow and prevent blockages.
Locate sewer lines using a locator.
Operate various vehicles, equipment, and tools, including dump trucks, skip loaders, backhoes, root saws, jackhammers, and hand and power tools. Load and unload vehicles and equipment.
Inspect and maintain assigned equipment and vehicles, perform safety checks, check fluid levels, and maintain safety-related equipment such as air monitoring devices, traffic control signs, pumps, fall protection gear, and first-aid kits. Clean assigned vehicles and equipment.
Perform work in confined spaces, taking necessary precautions before entering spaces with potential hazardous atmospheres, using air quality monitors and ventilators.
Engage in physical activities such as driving, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, mixing mortar, and working in sewage. Perform simple and power grasping, pushing and pulling, fine manipulation, and use feet to operate foot controls. Work Environment:

Position Purpose:
The Collection System Technician performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and manual work in the repair, cleaning, locating, and inspection of the wastewater collections system. This role involves operating various light construction equipment and wastewater system cleaning and maintenance tools, including hydro-cleaning and jetting sewer lines.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties related to the wastewater collection system, including operating a hydro-jetter to remove debris from pipes and vacuuming debris from lift stations and storm drains.
Engage in activities associated with the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of sewer and storm drain facilities and equipment.
Test sewer systems for faulty connections, leaks, and illegal connections.
Perform hydro-cleaning and jetting of sewer lines to ensure proper flow and prevent blockages.
Locate sewer lines using a locator.
Operate various vehicles, equipment, and tools, including dump trucks, skip loaders, backhoes, root saws, jackhammers, and hand and power tools. Load and unload vehicles and equipment.
Inspect and maintain assigned equipment and vehicles, perform safety checks, check fluid levels, and maintain safety-related equipment such as air monitoring devices, traffic control signs, pumps, fall protection gear, and first-aid kits. Clean assigned vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications
Must be enthusiastic and customer service-focused.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Willingness to learn and develop skills.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and driver's license check.
Ability to read, write, and speak English (bi-lingual is always a plus)
Must be able to lift or maneuver 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, or related fields preferred.
(optional) Willing to relocate.
Compensation: $500.00 - $3,000.00 per week
