JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within multiple systems to accept and respond to dispatched service and supply calls within Customer SLA commitments
Accurately diagnose, repair & maintain product(s) and accessories in peak operating condition within published electrical, mechanical and print quality specifications.
Effectively schedule calls to manage SLA requirements across assigned activities.
Ensure regular and effective communications with customers to ensure awareness of call acceptance, ETA, status and closure.
Assist customer with any reported issues or questions on customer product(s).
Train Customer on appropriate usage of customer product & features.
Ensure proper repair and maintenance procedures are performed on identified device(s) and Total Service Call
Procedures are completed prior to leaving customer site.
Follow prescribed administration procedures to ensure proper collection and reporting of required data, including, but not limited to; call acceptance, status updates, call closure and debrief, parts return and tracking.
Provide Meter Reads on Devices as needed
Present a positive image through proper attire, communication skills and personal grooming.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.

You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.

You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

To undertake any appropriate technical activities that may not be related directly to site, as may be allocated to you from time to time by the Director of Service.
To ensure that materials, tools and equipment provided to you to carry out your work are kept safe, secure and in good order.
Ensure all tools and equipment is relevant, up to date and calibrated in accordance with Huber Technology requirements.
Assist when needed in manufacturing or engineering with customer projects as well as unit refurbishment or replacement at the customer site or Huber Technology manufacturing facility.
Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of the equipment
Educate the customer on basic operation of their equipment
Assist when needed in the parts department with recommending spare parts and wear parts to existing and new customers
Perform all welding activities that are required in the shop and/or customer site
To take responsibility for ensuring that all necessary travel, medical and associated documentation is valid and kept up to date and to inform the FieldService Manager in adequate time to procure any replacements
Provide in-depth troubleshooting via phone with customers in the field
Provide technical assistance to all representatives of Huber Technology, Inc. in the field
Assist customers with via phone and in the field with on application and process related issues
Assist the Director of Service, V.P. of Operations and Aftermarket Sales Consultants with identification of warranty vs. non-warranty issues
Maintain a professional appearance towards customers on the telephone and by correspondence as well as in person
Take responsibility for ensuring that all necessary documentation is valid and kept up to date and to inform the Director of Service in adequate time to procure any replacements.
Uniforms are provided by Huber Technology, Inc.; FieldService Specialists are required to be in uniform at all times during their normal work. It is extremely important that the FieldService Specialist maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times
Provide technical support to other FieldService Specialists in the field
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures

III. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Field service technician job in Richmond, VA
DPR Construction is seeking a Field Technology Engineer/Surveyor for our team in Richmond. Reporting to the Field Technology Lead and the SPW Business Unit Lead, the successful candidate will support the implementation of building control, laser scanning capture, and post-processing efforts across the Richmond Business Unit and the Northeast region.
Responsibilities
Support the overall Field Technology services across the Richmond business unit and designated projects
Support existing conditions and as-built surveys for upcoming and current projects throughout the region.
Support and/or perform initial surveying & field layout activities with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control, and quality assurance.
Perform construction building layout with robotic total stations to support field validation, quality control, and quality assurance.
Plan and execute field survey activities in accordance with standards set by the project team.
Plan and perform layout set out and back-check tasks.
Leverage appropriate set up procedures using a robotic total station including known backsight and multi-point resections.
Perform benchmark transfers using an auto level.
Proficient with allocating and scheduling job duties to others.
Ensure all labor, equipment, and materials are organized and equipment firmware is up to date.
Support/Perform sUAS and 360 Photo capture and post processing activities.
Assist with reality capture services utilizing terrestrial laser scanning and sUAS/photogrammetry tools to capture, process, and document existing and as-built conditions of interior and exterior spaces.
Support project teams and VDC engineers on the utilization and analysis of reality capture deliverables (point clouds, meshes, 360 photos, etc.).
Basic Qualifications
We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented individual that will relish performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with ability to multi-task, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines. The successful candidate will have:
Ability to work in an environment that requires transparency, team collaboration, leading by influencing, and socialization of initiatives.
Position requires lifting and carrying moderately heavy equipment (25lbs+), climbing ladders and occasionally scanning crawl spaces and enclosed ceilings.
Flexible hours: Commercial building scans can start at 6AM and occasionally require weekend work.
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on construction experience in the AEC industry.
Able to read and understand construction documents, shop drawings and plans.
Knowledge in robotic total station and 2+ years of RTS usage, Leica Captivate experience is a plus.
Knowledge in Autodesk Point Layout, AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
Basic to Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 etc.)
