Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Parachute Logistics Fielding Specialist (Fielding and Equipment Training) to serve as a part of the Company's Technical Services team in support of PM SSV T-11/T-11 R and MC-6 Advanced Tactical Parachute System (ATPS).

This position is Part-time on call requiring one to two weeks of work per month.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise to support engineering assessment of personnel air drop items. Assist Government personnel with on-site inspection of personnel parachutes during production lot inspections at manufacturer's facilities (Mills, Asheville, NC and Airborne Systems at Santa Anna, CA). Visually inspect each component of these systems, measure pre-determined features on each component, document the findings on the inspection sheets provided by the Government to ensure compliance to the Technical Data Package (TDP) and present findings to the Government representative leading the inspection.

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree and 10 years' relevant experience (airdrop positions exempt from Bachelor's degree requirement). Must be a U.S. citizen. Prior jump certification - as required. Competency in communication, leadership, team and risk management. Must have the ability to communicate with executive management to ensure program related issues are addressed. Have the ability to think and act independently in a distributed work situation. Must possess a SECRET clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:


A thorough understanding of operating a computer, which includes Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications. Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Cloudera is seeking a Field Specialist to join the CDP Adoption Center of Excellence. The Center of Excellence exists to ensure that Cloudera is best positioned to help our customers on their journey to CDP and the modern data architecture across Public, Private, or Hybrid Cloud implementations.

For this strategically important role, we are seeking outstanding talent to join our team to help us stay ahead of the technology curve and maintain a trusted advisor role with our customers. We use our experience building and running production data platforms to continually ask questions, learn how things work, and guide people towards better ways of doing things. You may not start out as an expert, but we'll help you become one.

This key role has two major focus areas. First we work internally to help Clouderans get customers to CDP efficiently and safely. Second, we provide a deep level of expertise to help our most important customers who are requiring assistance with their CDP adoption efforts. The Field Specialist bridges these areas together, facilitating the communication flow between the customer and internal Cloudera teams, such as Support, Customer Success, or Professional Services.
Simply put: our Field Specialists help keep customers moving forward in their CDP adoption journey.

Responsibilities:
Build broadly reusable collateral and expertise in all areas of CDP, including greenfield implementations and CDH/HDP to CDP migrations, based on real-world customer experiences.Act as a region-level SME with Pre-Sales and Professional Services to assist with sizing, scoping, and planning CDP adoption, including migration and upgrade opportunities.Develop reusable tooling and automation to aid the install, upgrade, and migration processes for both platform administrators and application teams.Capture and develop knowledge, best practice and reference architectures from customer engagements, and publish material internally and externally (blogs, webinars, videos etc.) Handle escalations for strategically important Professional Services-led CDP engagements across Public and Private Cloud implementations.De-brief CDP project teams and ensure that lessons are carried forwards into the product and into our approach.Liaise with Product Management and Engineering on technical issues and technical enablers that help collectively move customers forward in their CDP journey Home based with occasional travel when required.

Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communications More than 4 years of customer facing technical experience hands on with CDH, HDP, or other Hadoop distributions, running in a variety of customer use cases or industry sectors Demonstrated technical excellence in the field and contribution to internal or externally facing collateral or assets Experience designing and deploying production-scale Hadoop solutions Ability to understand and translate customer requirements into technical requirements Strong experience implementing software and/or solutions in the enterprise Linux or Unix environment Strong understanding with various enterprise security solutions such as SAML, LDAP, SSL/TLS, and KerberosStrong understanding of network configuration, devices, protocols, speeds and optimizations Strong understanding of Java development, debugging, and profiling of the Apache Hadoop ecosystem Experience in architecting data center or cloud solutions - properly selecting server and storage hardware based on performance, availability and ROI requirements Demonstrated experience implementing big data use-cases, understanding of standard design patterns commonly used in Hadoop-based deployments.
