The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of Field Service Foremen and the indirect supervision of Field Technicians I, II & III, including ensuring that all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and job requirements (budget and schedule) are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Enforce the policies and procedures as they relate to Health & Safety as measured by the districts health and safety record; Work closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Meet with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues.
  • Participate in joint calls with specialists as needed and maintain a professional image when dealing with customers.
  • Maintain up to date confined space supervisor and emergency response supervisor certifications
  • Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed.
  • Understand and work with the Coordinator in the communication of manpower, equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects.
  • Act as the on-call coordinator on an as needed basis.
  • Oversee projects for Health and Safety, profitability, completeness and professionalism
  • Health and safety issues surrounding projects assigned, including reviewing operational procedures to assure correct health and safety action plans and communicate effectively with the health and safety organization regarding onsite specific action.
  • Respond immediately when on-call or secure proper coverage, and communicate replacement name to supervisor/manager.
  • Enforce and ensure OSHA, EPA and H&S standards or regulations are complaint.
  • Timely reporting of work-related accidents or incidents to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in environmental field service operations.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Emergency response supervisor training and Marine Spill Response training preferred.
  • Knowledge of scoping and pricing field service work.
  • Knowledge of Federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as Clean Harbors policies and procedures related to field operations.
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications.
  • Ability to understand issues and resolve/address strategically

Claim Review Project Supervisor

The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund ("VCF") was created to provide compensation for any individual or personal representative of a deceased individual who suffered physical harm or was killed as a result of the terrorist-related aircraft crashes of September 11, 2001 or the debris removal efforts that took place in the immediate aftermath of those crashes. The original VCF operated from 2001-2004. In 2011, the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 was signed into law and reactivated the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund in October 2011. In December 2015, the Fund was reauthorized for five additional years and, in July 2019, the Fund was reauthorized permanently. More information about the VCF can be found at https://www.vcf.gov/.

The Claim Review Support Team works with VCF and Claim Review Team leadership to support all aspects of the claim review process with a particular emphasis on claim and data management, claim preparation and assessment, knowledge management, and training coordination.

Working closely with respective Claim Review Team leads and supervisors and, under the supervision of the Claim Review Support Team Project Manager, the CRST Project Supervisor - 2 will manage daily reporting sheets for 20+ CRST Assessors and Coordinators, monitor individual queues, process third party feeds and PSOB verification requests, take meeting notes for CRST/Claim Review meetings, update and maintain SOPs, and office hour agenda development and training materials, and assist in answering team questions regarding day-to-day work and specific claims.

Duties and Responsibilities

The CRST Project Supervisor - 2 specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist Project Manager in all aspects of Claim Review Support Team management.
  • Manage daily reporting sheets for 20+ CRST Assessors/Coordinators, including:
    • Production Accountability
      • Review and follow-up with CRST members on reporting sheets, reporting sheet discrepancies, and time in/out discrepancies.
      • Monitor individual queues, working with Coordinators to report on holds longer than 30 days and movement of claims in queues.
      • Report on individual team member performance against expectations and targets for input to performance evaluations and to identify potential training needs.
  • Generate/prepare weekly reports for CRST leadership, including the number of claims reviewed/completed for various tasks performed by the Team.
  • Schedule and track each team member's monthly touch base meeting with the CRST Manager and Supervisors.
  • Monitor third party feed requests/responses, and report any delays in responses to CRST Manager, including:
    • Coordinate Third Party Feed request and response processing priorities with VCF Team Leads.
    • Prepare and provide weekly Third Party Feed status updates to Team Leads and Supervisors across various VCF teams.
  • Process verification requests for the DOJ Public Safety Officer Benefits (PSOB) program, in coordination with Project Supervisor - 1, serving as the back-up VCF point of contact for PSOB data validation requests, including:
    • Review PSOB / VCF Master Death and Disability Claims Lists.
    • Review and upload PSOB determination letters to claims.
  • Schedule assignment of meeting notes for CRST/CR meetings and upload them to SharePoint.
  • Update SOPs as needed, including revising and updating processes and SOP's in compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements.
    • Update training materials as needed and provide training when appropriate.
  • Maintain a list all CRST Office Hours (OH) questions submitted by team members and create weekly agendas for OH meetings.
  • Assist in responding to emails sent by team members that raise questions in specific CRST areas, thereby avoiding the need to be elevated to the CRST Project Manager. Determine which questions are appropriate to raise for all team members' awareness and discussion in weekly CRST Office Hours meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as Business, Accounting, Data Management or Statistics, with a minimum of 3 years' related experience or 3 years of progressively more responsible experience on major litigation support projects; paralegal certificate preferred. Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Successfully held positions such as Data Analyst, Accounting Clerk, Senior Paralegal.
  • Highly proficient with MS Excel (intermediate user or higher), MS Access, and other Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities.
  • Proven ability to supervise staff and manage the work of team members, including planning, monitoring work flow, reporting progress, and identifying, training, and assigning staff.
  • Experience developing and delivering training sessions.
  • Experience in claim management or processing environments, particularly having worked with a claim management system.
  • Experience in government programs preferred.

As an FRM, a typical day might include:

  • Providing face-to-face, personalized issue resolution

  • Liaising with reimbursement hotlines regarding alternative funding/financial assistance programs
  • Assisting with determining coverage and access options available for a specific medication or procedure


What your background should look like

  • 5 years' experience with specialty providers in support of reimbursement
  • Technical knowledge of health care reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective (authorizations, miscellaneous J codes, billing coding, appeals process)
  • Live within 45 minutes of a major airport in the locations listed above and be able to travel extensively (overnight - 80% of the time) within that territory which includes but is not limited to the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
  • Knowledge of private payer, Medicare and Medicaid structure systems and reimbursement process

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Be available to teammates in order to serve as the first point of contact for them in regard to employment related and job function concerns
  • Participate as an active member of the leadership team to problem solve issues, performance manage teammates, and achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics
  • Review and evaluate teammate productivity and quality according to the QA Policy
  • Respond to all department and facility requests within a maximum of 48 hours
  • Monitor teammate attendance and paid time off request, coordinating the requests accordingly to meet business needs

  • Partner with Revenue Cycle Manager to handle disciplinary actions related to performance, attendance, productivity, quality, etc.


Qualifications

  • This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree and one year of progressive, relevant experience, or an associate's degree and two years of progressive relevant experience, or three years of progressive relative experience
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Revenue Cycle experience required
  • Flexibility to work from home and from an office depending on the business unit's needs

Richland County Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced individual responsible for supervising the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program in our Behavioral Health Services Unit providing direct supervision and support to programmatic staff. Master's Degree in Social Work or related field is required.
