JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: 6+ years' experience in supporting enterprise level PC's as an IT Desktop (Desk-Side) or Help Desk Technician Ability to support systems on both classified and unclassified networks. Familiarity with security requirements (ICD 503, DFARS, etc.) Ability to plan and prioritize their work assignments to meet deadlines/SLA's in a fast-paced environment without supervision Advanced understanding of: Active Directory (heavy account management). UNIX (account management, permissions, etc.). McAfee suite of security products (i.e., ENS, DLP, MDE). Hardware support experience (i.e., swapping hard drive, fan, motherboard). Troubleshooting HP systems. Maintaining/troubleshooting VoIP devices (i.e., Cisco Call Manager/Unity). Responsibilities + Receive and unload incoming samples or consignments in accordance with DOT regulations, verifying receipt against Chain of Custody (COC) and noting discrepancies. + Log samples into the Lab Management System daily to assign a lot number for tracking purposes and distribute paperwork to Project Managers. + Label samples for identification by the assigned lot number and deliver them to the appropriate labs for analysis. + Prepare bottle kits daily for shipment to clients for sample collection and return for analysis, adhering to EPA and DOT requirements. + Forward samples to other laboratories as needed to conduct tests not performed at the current location, following DOT regulations. + Dispose of spent samples, waste, and potentially hazardous materials in accordance with established procedures. + Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures daily to ensure compliance with SOP guidelines. + Clean and organize the department daily to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. + Stock and supply inventory daily, assisting with inventory management to ensure an adequate supply of materials. + Perform splits and composites upon request. + May perform courier duties as needed to support lab and client needs. + Assist in the maintenance of walk-in coolers to facilitate sample location. + Ship empty coolers back to clients and other laboratories, maintaining a detailed inventory. + Conduct all client interactions in a professional manner. + Perform other duties as assigned by local management. Essential Skills + High school diploma or equivalent. + Proficiency in data entry and laboratory sample processing. + Experience with inventory management and labeling. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Self-motivation and adaptability. + Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. + Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a refrigerated storage room. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic computer skills. + Professional working proficiency in English. + Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. + Candidates with experience in restaurants or fast-food environments are encouraged to apply. Work Environment This position offers the opportunity to work in a busy laboratory environment, with the flexibility to work uncapped overtime before your shift or on weekends with supervisor approval.
