Provides feedback and documents product failure trends and service ability issues
Responsible for ensuring and maximizing customer satisfaction with equipment and related products
Identifies revenue generating and cost saving opportunities.
Maintains expenses within departmental guidelines and controls inventory and all company property
Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience OR Bachelor's degree in a Biomedical field
2-5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software
Effective communication skills, helpful customer interaction, and organizationally sound
Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting machinery/hardware using established procedures preferably in a laboratory or healthcare setting

Requirements

The Field Service Technician is responsible for working independently and maintaining retail store technologies and computer systems and peripherals, within retail store and commercial business environments. They are responsible to perform a full workload of product installation, support services and repair on Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions and non-TOSHIBA retail products and in the store systems, retail banking and SMB marketplaces (i.e., apparel stores, supermarkets, mass merchandising, specialty shops, banks, local insurance agents, CPAs, legal firms, etc.). The Field Service Technician is accountable for customer satisfaction, metrics attainment and operational activities as required for the services provided. The services include some or all the following: whole product and/or component exchange and on-premises basic product & store equipment problem diagnosis, adjustment and/or repair. SCHEDULE: this position requires individuals to have the flexibility to cover on/call (standby) coverage Saturday through Friday once every 4 weeks and also will be scheduled to work weekends every 4th week.

Can install all equipment in new and/or remodeled sites without assistance, can handle all projects/installs without assistance, performs maintenance on all supported equipment at field locations with minimal phone support from all associated support areas, proficient knowledge and use of all client support applications and portals, able to troubleshoot and fix complex problems over the phone with store personnel, uses established procedures and/or instructions for repetitive and/or routine work, works on tasks individually or as a part of a team and aids less experienced service representatives

Proper maintenance of assigned service vehicles including an appearance as well as onboard service equipment and tools.
Compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. Job duties may be done at Best One Tire location, at customer locations, and on service calls at customer work sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
