Job Summary
Provides repair and on-site installation on a variety of Veterinary equipment. Learns and follows manufacturer guidelines relative to the operation, repair, maintenance and installation of equipment.

Install, Maintain and/or Repair Veterinary Equipment
Independently responds to assigned customer service calls, diagnosing problems and making appropriate repairs.
Repairs, loads, delivers, installs, and specs equipment to meet specific manufacturer, Federal and State regulations.
Trains to perform standard system installations and tests the functionality of all components.
Trains customers on the use and basic maintenance of equipment at the customers site.
Learns and follows specific manufacturer guidelines for repairs as well as all company, OSHA, or other agencies' policies related to asepsis.
Completes all required service forms (service order, confirmations, inventory, expense reports, time sheet, and equipment related items).
Maintains strong and supportive customer relationships by providing technical support after initial installation of Equipment, PC software, and hardware and ensuring that service commitments are met within standard response time.
Maintain relevant communication with Service Coordinator, Equipment Specialist and Territory Manager.
Inventory Management
Determines parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests.
Uses, maintains, and secures test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment.
Manages vehicle inventory and restocks as necessary.
Physical inventory audits on a bi-annual basis
Asset Management
Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
Ensures proper use and maintenance of all company provided assets, including but not limited to phone, computer, parts, tools and uniforms.

You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.

You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.

This position reports to the Seattle IT Radio Communications Shop Supervisor. Employee in this position will perform the following responsibilities:
* Installation, testing, maintenance and repair of commercial FM two-way radio systems and equipment including low band VHF, VHF, UHF and Motorola Motorola 7. P25 trunked radio networks, microprocessor-controlled radio transceivers, simulcast site controllers, antenna systems, multi-site microwave links, dispatch consoles, and associated telecommunications and network equipment which impact government and public safety operations for external and internal customers.
* Utilize standardized safety procedures, technical regulations, and equipment manuals to identify and resolve system and equipment problems.
* Communicate with internal City of Seattle personnel, outside service personnel, equipment vendors and other government agencies to coordinate and provide information pertaining to service requests, work orders, equipment evaluations, technical advice and complaints regarding radio system interference.
* Maintain and install DC Power Distribution Panels and perform preventive maintenance on UPS systems and DC Power Plants. Install and maintain Analog and digital telemetry systems and other digital and analog systems.
* Analyze and resolve performance and failure issues related to OSI Layers 1-2 using network testing and management resources.
* Perform related telecommunication duties commensurate with classification level.
* Position requires participation in an on-call after-hours support role, which includes a requirement to respond remotely or in-person to radio system outages. The present rotation requires being on-call for one-week periods, once per month.
* Perform related duties commensurate with classification level.
Position requires a basic understanding of IP network technology including as; understanding of Ethernet backhaul as it applies to Land Mobile Radio networks ; and requires a basic knowledge of electronics theory, circuit operation. The position also required the ability to use hand and power tools used in electronics and the ability to operate electronic test and diagnostic equipment.
Required Qualifications:

Technical Experience
* Five (5) years' experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial LMR and related electronic equipment and systems or equivalent.

* Two (2) year experience in at least two of the following technologies: trunked land mobile radio, microwave networks, LTE technology, MPLS, and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)

Demonstrate your ability to learn new skills on high tech CMM's (Coordinate Measuring Machines) utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude.
Perform necessary administrative paperwork in a complete and accurate manner.

Travel requirement is 90-100% within the service area, including international travel as needed.

Do you qualify?
Minimum, High School graduate, completed GED or equivalent.

Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
Microsoft operating system knowledge is required.
Capable of unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds.
Able and willing to work minimum of 50 hours per work week. Regular + OT.
Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
Valid Driver License required.
Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
Nice to haves:
Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
Previous CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred however not required.
The annual pay range for this position is $49,000 - $61,000 The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
