This is a Computer Field Technician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. You must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware. As part of your onboarding, you will be certified in Dell and Lenovo. All certifications are free to you. Job Details This is a 1099 Contract position. Call volume varies but is typically between 2-5 calls per day. Pay is based on the number of calls completed. Pay starts at $35 per ticket. You will be completing hardware part replacements for Dell and Lenovo warranty services. Pay period -every Friday after the first week of completing tickets. About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems. Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems. Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships. Work Environment ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops.
