Morbark's Field Service Engineer position works as part of the Product Engineering team, investigating issues customers have with our products. The Field Engineer's primary role is to lead fact gathering for product issues in the field and drive investigation efforts toward root-cause identification and then validation of permanent corrective actions. The Field Service Engineer will also support the Service team to determine appropriate immediate steps to return a customer's equipment to an operational state. Work with Product Engineering to develop and validate permanent corrective actions to address product issues; facilitate the application of these corrective actions on customer equipment in conjunction with the Morbark Service team as appropriate
Work with Product and Systems Engineering to develop troubleshooting and repair training for the Service organization and our servicing dealers
Work with the Product Engineering team to drive down Warranty occurrences and expense - support Product Warranty Board teams
Facilitate field testing with current or future customers
Collaborate with colleagues in the continuous improvement process; collaborate with other departments to provide a “best in class” quality product
Identify training opportunities and help develop training needed to improve the overall organization's development

Proactive communication and high service levels are the ultimate measure of effectiveness. This position is responsible for service, installation, and delivery/pick-up of rental equipment. The Service Technician III works with his/her peers, outside and inside sales personnel, to coordinate delivery, installation, and service of rental equipment. This person should carry a certification to handle refrigerants as they need to be able to service refrigerant circuits in our AC rental products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Our customers, professional representation is critical in this role. The goal is to provide an experience for the customer that will drive them back for future business. This is Company's greatest growth opportunity.
Takes customer orders from inside salesperson or branch manager. Fills orders and delivers to customers. If any accessories are left at the job site that are not on the delivery ticket, it is to be noted on the delivery ticket and have a customer sign ticket.
If required, install equipment. Service Technician III is not to hook up the power cord of a rental unit into any customer distribution power panel or generator. Can run extension cords and plug in 115 V equipment into wall receptacles.
For heating equipment, runs temporary hoses from equipment to hook-up to natural gas or propane sources. Does not perform hook-up, as that is the responsibility of the customer.
Provides assistance and supports the installation of air-cooled chillers and large package HVAC rental equipment.
Runs flexible ductwork as required for temporary application.
Uses appropriate PPE and fall protection as required.
Ensures that customers lifts are not to be used to perform any work unless driven by an authorized person at the job site. Fall protection must be used as required.
Performs equipment start-up. If access to equipment power control panel is required and electricity must be on while inside the control cabinet, wear appropriate arc flash PPE as per our Electrical Safety Policy.
Performs service repairs as required, wearing all appropriate PPE.
When the customer is finished with equipment, picks up equipment from the customer location, noting what equipment was returned. If there are any missing items, communicate it to the customer and have them sign a pick-up ticket with notation of what is missing.
Performs equipment reconditioning as per reconditioning work instructions for that type of equipment. Completes any checklist as required.
Puts equipment away in Branch warehouse.
Performs any other duties assigned.

Nidec Minster Corporation (FKA The Minster Machine Company) has an immediate opening for a Regional Field Service Technician working primarily in the state of Michigan. This person will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance to assist customers with their Minster supplied equipment, supervising/instructing personnel in setting up equipment in customer plants, training customer's personnel on proper maintenance and operation of Minster equipment.
The ideal candidate will have hands on experience maintaining metal forming and ancillary equipment or similar type machinery found in manufacturing facilites. Those skills generally include:

* $75 daily per diem for domestic travel, $95 daily per diem for international travel; paid weekly

DUTIES
* Provide technical and maintenance support to Minster's customers with their metal forming equipment
* Commission new and remanufactured metal forming equipment in customers' plants
* Audit customers' metal forming equipment and report all repair requirements found
* Provide written and oral reports in English in an accurate and professional manner
* Promote service parts and preventative maintenance contracts
* Work flexible hours to support customer service needs
* Extensive travel required with >75% of the travel being in the Michigan region
QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of electrical/electronics troubleshooting and installation techniques
* Capable of performing mechanical press repair or mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
* Represent Nidec Minster Corporation effectively in business and social situations as may be required
* Able to work effectively with minimum supervision
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Extensive domestic and international travel is required
* Candidates must be Michigan region residents or willing to relocate to the Michigan region
* Ideal Candidate would be located near Detroit, Lansing or Grand Rapids
