Seeking an installer that can install equipment into law enforcement, public works and construction vehicles - A background in car audio, mobile radios, automotive lighting, automotive electronics or automotive work is desired. The installation tech will assist with the installation of lights, sirens, cages, bumpers, K9 units, gun racks, in car video systems, radars, computer docking stations and modems as well as other wireless communications systems in vehicles at our local upfitting shop in Salem. This is typically an M-F 8 to 5 job. Some Overtime and travel may be required but minimal. About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems.
