This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude. The Service Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients. Responsibilities WORK SAFELY - Accidents are preventable. Set-up, install, repair industrial weighing equipment in the shop and at customer sites, often working independently. Description - Field Technicians We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual for a Field Technician to assist in overseeing noise, and vibration, pre-construction photo-documentation, and geotechnical instrumentation projects in the Seattle area. This is a Part-Time / On-Call Work. Noise and Vibration Monitoring: Conduct field measurements and assessments related to noise and vibration in urban environments. Pre-construction Photo Documentation: Document interior and exterior conditions of the buildings and properties. Geotechnical Instrumentation Oversight: Assist in the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of geotechnical instrumentation systems. Work closely with senior technicians to ensure accurate data collection and analysis. Noise and Vibration Monitoring Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to implement mitigation strategies when necessary. Geotechnical Instrumentation Responsibilities: Performs Installations, Transportation and Demobilizations of equipment. Sometimes it is required to lift concrete pull boxes for the enclosure of the meters. Employees are required to dig and form platforms to create a feasible area to place vibration meters to ensure validity of data. In some projects, the area is surrounded by construction heavy equipment, excavations, tunnels, and or active construction sites that require safety training that ALL construction workers for the General Contractor are required to take. Employee is required to transport materials in a construction site as well as install instruments on poles, rooftops, bridges, and tunnels. Specialized tools are required to perform the role in the field and the ability to mount equipment using ladders and equipment (manlifts) is required. The use of these tools requires safety training to avoid injury and or death. Qualifications: Currently enrolled and or completed in a relevant degree program (geotechnical engineering, environmental science, civil engineering, etc.) - (Preferred but not required) Strong interest in geotechnical instrumentation, noise, and vibration monitoring. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in an outdoor field environment. Basic understanding of relevant instrumentation tools and software is a plus. OSHA 10-hrs. Our Field Technicians get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors in a hardhat rather than in a cubicle. As a key member of the stack team, this role will be responsible for a full range of duties including: Project preparation: glassware preparation, cleaning procedures, repair, calibration, and fabrication.
