Position Description:
Installs intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control security systems.
Run electrical wiring in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined spaces, which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.
Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy customer and contractual requirements.
Assists and interfaces with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.
Conducts tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoots new system installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure system meets local, county, state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance.
Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
Maintains company propriety and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Electronic Security policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
Keeps abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology. Attends and completes training programs as requested.
Job Requirements:
MUST HOLD 3 or more years' experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred.
NICET Certification preferred.
Lenel, Pro-Watch, Software House, Picture Perfect certifications preferred.
Bosch, Honeywell, Radionics, or DMP system knowledge preferred.
Edwards/EST, Simplex, or GE/Mirtone system knowledge preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Actively respond to and manage urgent break-fixes and high-priority requirements to meet mission needs.
Perform cabling for DoD devices located in VIP/GO quarters.
Assist in installing structured cabling systems, including but not limited to copper fiber optic cabling, under the supervision of senior technicians.
Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on cabling systems, ensuring all work complies with industry and DoD standards.
Support compliance testing and documentation efforts for all installations, ensuring adherence to DoD STIGs and engineering standards.
Collaborate with other Network Infrastructure and Support team members to ensure a cohesive approach to infrastructure management and problem resolution.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation for cabling system installation, maintenance, and compliance.
Qualifications/Experience:
Active Secret Clearance
3+ years' experience with cabling and break fixes in DoD.
Previous experience as a Cable Technician supporting DoD.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and repair technical issues.
Proficiency in using hand tools and cable installation equipment.
Education/Certifications:
High school diploma or GED. Relevant associate degree preferred.

EOA Technologies is seeking a Cable Technician on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. You will be responsible for the installation, routing, and termination of various types of cables, including fiber optic and data, in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of working in diverse environments, such as construction sites, commercial buildings, and outdoor spaces. The Cable Technician will work under the supervision of a Foreman or Project Manager and collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Cable Installation: Pull, route, and install various types of cables, including fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet, through walls, ceilings, and conduit pathways in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Cable Termination: Perform precise terminations of fiber optic and copper cables, including the installation of connectors, patch panels, and other termination hardware. Ensure that terminations meet industry standards for performance and reliability.
Preparation and Setup: Prepare work areas by identifying and marking locations for cable installation and termination, ensuring all tools and materials are ready for use.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment such as fiber optic and copper testing equipment, fiber optic cleavers, crimping tools, and other specialized tools required for cable installation and termination.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Quality Assurance: Inspect and test installed and terminated cables to ensure proper connections, performance, and adherence to specifications. Use testing equipment such as OTDRs, cable testers, and certifiers.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including cable routes, lengths, termination points, and test results.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate efforts and resolve any installation or termination issues.
Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to cable installation and termination, including obstructions, cable integrity problems, and signal loss.
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
Possess an active Top Secret w/ Polygraph security clearance.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in cable pulling, termination, or a related field is preferred. On-the-job training will be provided for those with less experience.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 44 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work at heights above 20', which includes climbing a ladder, and in various weather conditions.
Technical Skills: Proficient in cable pulling techniques, and cable termination, including fiber optic splicing and copper crimping. Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in the industry.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license. Certifications in Single Man Lift, fiber optic and copper cabling (e.g., BICSI, FOA) and OSHA 10 or 30 certification are a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Perform hand augers with dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) testing to collect data of subsurface conditions for foundations, roadways, and other surfaces
Communicate daily with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers verbally and electronically
Complete and prepare accurate and detailed field-testing reports on a daily basis
