Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches, engine/generator controls, and excitation systems.
Complete quality preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on power generation units, diesel and/or natural gas, or gas engines, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) as scheduled.
Communicate with sales, operations, and customers regarding service and service contract coverage, pricing, terms and conditions, and applicable policies.
Respond to inquiries regarding new contract obligations and revisions.
Accurately submit, promote, and complete general quotes and engineering quotes as needed for the customer base.
Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures.
Act with integrity and provide outstanding service to customers and coworkers building an environment of teamwork and positivity.
Report any violation or non-compliance with company policies and procedures by Prime Power Services employees or other business personnel, including sub-contractors.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma/GED required.
3+ years working in the power generation field.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a driving record showing zero felony convictions and less than three (3) moving violations.

SUMMARY
Frequent travel required

Ability to acquire necessary documents to perform new equipment commissioning, installation and testing of existing equipment upgrades and trouble shooting customers' issues by utilizing Company VPN (Virtual Private Network for offsite Technicians), Release Front End and CAD Front End.
Prepare and submit timely service and expense reports using approved Merrick format.
Ability to perform customer phone support as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel safely to domestic and international customer's plants to train and assist company and customer personnel in installation, start up, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting operations and techniques for customer products as prescribed in O&M manuals or specialized training material.
Prepare timely detailed reports of service calls indicating problems encountered and work performed. In some instances, make recommendations for design change considerations.
Review customer processes and equipment to make recommendations for new equipment or equipment upgrades.
Make various field test simulations of materials and evaluate results to aid in solving operating and or accuracy problems.
Receive calls from customers and resolve problems by phone or by visiting plant to inspect and rectify malfunctions.
Make periodic return trips to customer's plants to check procedures and operations used, and to test and evaluate materials.
Keep time record of activities, submit service and expense reports at completion of project in a timely manner. Submit weekly timesheets for payroll processing by 7:30 a.m. CST each Monday morning.
Update all related documents and submit to the appropriate departments for revision and customers submittals.

Vocational or specialized training beyond high school in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology (Associates Degree preferred)
3+ years' work experience in electronics
A thorough knowledge and understanding of intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, CCTV, IP video, surveillance systems, fire alarm and life safety systems
Working knowledge of Focus 200, DMP, Verint and Parabit product solutions preferred
State license (C- 10) and NICET certifications preferred
Experience in commercial, fortune 1000 or government electronic security maintenance, service, or installation preferred
Shift adaptability and work in adverse exposure to elements/personal safety
Able to stand most of the day, occasionally lift heavy loads, and work long hours
Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills

As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional installation, relocation, troubleshooting, and auditing services for internet, cable, telephone, and alarm systems at our customers' premises. Cable experience is a requirement for this position, and we will provide you with a work truck to carry out your duties effectively.
Responsibilities:
Perform installations, relocations, troubleshooting, and audits of internet, cable, telephone, and alarm services at customer premises.
Adhere to company installation policies to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment properly, organizing and stocking the company vehicle with necessary equipment to fulfill job requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate time logs, reports, and related documentation in accordance with company and departmental policies.
Requirements:
Proficiency in using basic broadband installation tools and hand tools.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80 lbs., work at heights up to 30 ft., and in confined spaces, including attics.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, adapting to different environments as necessary.
Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
Successful completion of thorough background checks and drug screenings.
Flexibility in work schedule, including availability to work weekends.
