Job Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all pipeline facilities at our Oaktown storage field and compressor station. You will be required to comply with all Company, DOT, OSHA, and Environmental rules and regulations, learn the Company OMS process for documenting job functions as required, and will occasionally be required to perform unscheduled or emergency work. Additionally, you will be required to learn all Pipeline ROW Routes and learn to handle all encroachment activities as well as perform in a lead role and direct the actions of others when fully qualified. You will be required to learn to operate the Oaktown Compressor Station and will need to be self-motivated and work with limited supervision and when qualified, participate in the On-Call duties and respond to call outs as necessary.
Normal work hours for this role are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST Monday - Friday; however, this position is subject to occasional schedule adjustments as needed and the successful candidate must live within 30 miles of the Oaktown compressor station. The candidate could be asked to help in other districts on occasion.

He or she must be able to make safe confined space entries wearing movement and sight restricting personal protective equipment with limited lighting to clean the interior of tank and hopper cars in compliance with Tactical Cleaning policies and procedures.
The FieldTechnician is responsible for informing the Shop Manager of issues related to their assigned duties.
DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary by supervisor. In order to perform the essential functions of the job, the incumbent must possess, at a minimum, the following skills and abilities. DUTIES:
• Inspect and clean railcar interiors for compliance with customer, FRA, AAR and Tactical Cleaning requirements.

• Ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces and heights, bend, stoop, stretch, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs overhead on a consistent basis. This includes working safely around heavy equipment and on top of, under and inside railcars, and railroad tracks.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in adverse weather conditions.

Job Duties

Troubleshoot and repair computers. Provide in-depth research into software and hardware issues. Manage the imaging and deployment of computers that meet University Standards. Provide training to faculty, staff, and students. Document issues, write tutorials, and monitor workflows.

This non-supervisory position is responsible for performing timely and effective technical repairs on assigned vehicles, documenting those repairs in computerized systems and other documentation, and for ensuring a superior customer experience. Responsible to ensure achievement of a variety of customer service metrics associated with repair orders with the goal of fixing it right the first time.
JOB DUTIES:
Mechanical Repairs & Communication
Receive, review, and respond to service repair orders (RO's) per company standards.
Discuss any special conditions or problems.
Perform the work outlined on the repair order with speed, thoroughness, and safety to assure the vehicle is correctly and fully serviced the first time.
Generally inspect the vehicle for additional service repair work that may be needed, look up time from flat rate manuals, obtain parts pricing as needed, and advise the Assistant Service Managers (ASM's) so that customers can be notified.
Properly, thoroughly, and accurately document the repairs made to correct the issues on the repair order.
Perform any additional repairs that are authorized.
Communicate to management, Assistant Service Managers, and other relevant staff on any additional time or assistance needed to complete repairs as soon as possible.
Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
Electrical diagnostic
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and to discuss the work to be performed, as well as future repair requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area.
Repair or replace parts associated with the repair order, as appropriate.
Install and/or repair accessories, such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
Return and tag all warranty-failed parts to the Parts department, and all parts with core charges.
General
Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
Travel as business needs may require.
