Working alongside our experienced team, you will install runway beams, bridge systems, hoists, and electrical components that form complete crane systems. The position requires careful coordination with other team members to ensure all components are correctly aligned and secured, as proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of these substantial mechanical systems. The role involves critical pre-installation activities such as reviewing blueprints, verifying building measurements, and planning installation sequences that minimize disruption to customer operations. During the installation process, you will secure and position runway beams, assemble bridge sections, install hoists, and complete electrical connections according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Post-installation, you will conduct thorough testing and verification to ensure all systems function correctly and safely before customer handover. Rigging and Equipment Operation Responsibilities Your rigging expertise will be essential as you select appropriate rigging gear, prepare and inspect loads, and safely maneuver heavy components into position. This includes determining proper sling arrangements, attachment points, and lift angles to ensure loads are moved safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting all rigging equipment before use, identifying any defects or potential hazards, and ensuring all rigging is rated appropriately for the loads being handled. Operating heavy equipment is a central aspect of this role, as you will use forklifts, boom lifts, and mobile cranes to position components during installation. This requires precise control and spatial awareness as you maneuver equipment in often-confined industrial spaces. You will also coordinate with other team members during critical lifts, maintaining clear communication throughout operations to ensure everyone's safety and the protection of customer facilities and equipment. Requirements Qualifications: Experience and Skills The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, with specific experience in rigging operations and heavy equipment operation. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and technical training or certification in rigging, crane operations, or related fields is highly desirable. A valid driver's license is required, as you will need to travel to various customer sites. You should have proven experience selecting and using appropriate rigging equipment, including knowledge of load calculations, sling angles, and hardware selection. Familiarity with OSHA regulations regarding rigging and lifting operations is essential, as is the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals. Basic electrical knowledge is beneficial, as is experience with hand and power tools used in industrial installations. Physical Requirements and Work Environment This position requires significant physical capabilities, including the ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs, as well as operate scissor or boom lifts while working at height. You must be comfortable working around industrial equipment, with the ability to move safely over uneven terrain. The role requires sufficient strength to lift up to 50 pounds and the stamina to perform physical work throughout a full shift. You will need good visual acuity for detailed installation work and the ability to work in varied environmental/lighting conditions, both indoors and outdoors. The work environment includes industrial facilities that may have dust, noise, and temperature variations. You may occasionally work in adverse weather conditions when installations involve outdoor components. The position also requires travel to customer sites throughout the region, with potential overnight stays and longer durations for more distant installations across the country.
