This is a Computer FieldTechnician Position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position, you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform a variety of technical assignments involving the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of string and central solar inverter and/or BESS Systems, PCS, batteries, and ancillary equipment.
* Perform general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow's maintenance and repair guidelines.
* As needed, support and perform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems within schedule and work plans
* Additionally, for those on O&M capacity, perform Preventive Maintenance and other Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) activities per the contract
* Investigate solar plant issues such as DC array grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transients. For BESS positions, these investigations may also involve SOC checks and module /component-level troubleshooting, replacement of electrical/electronic parts, SW version updates, etc.
* Provide feedback to the engineering and project team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvements.
* Lead upgrade/rework projects (software and hardware) in the field and interact with customers to explain the project's technical scope and manage work schedule and commitments.

The Role:

Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

The Role:
As an Installation Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers' recommended installation procedures and specifications.
* Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions.
* Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co-workers, contractors on-site and the general public and property of all concerned.
* Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
* Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
* Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
* Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
* Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
* Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling).
* Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
What You Will Need:
* 3-5 years' experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience, Storefront, Glazing, Doors, Aluminium Frames, Electrical, Glass, Automatic Doors, Hardware etc.
* Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
* Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
* Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
* Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
* High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
* Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
