As a Security Field Trainer your responsible will be patrolling the hospital to provide a safe and healthy environment for patients, family, and employees. This position is responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with Children's Health Dallas employees, various agencies and the public in order to carry out the proper communications and procedures in an effective and professional manner. This job is responsible for one-on-one training and mentoring new Security Officers in accordance with the Security Officer Training Program.

You will enforce the policies, rules, and regulations of the hospital; give directions throughout the hospital; give general information, and assist with security problems or issues; ensure that all hospital entrance and exit doors are secure; transport/escort employees to and from the hospital parking lots; complete and review Daily Observation Reports (DORs) with new Security Officers utilizing the Task Rating Scale and Standardized Evaluation Guidelines; provide on-going updates to their assigned Security Manager and the Security Tactics and Investigative Specialist regarding a new Security Officer's progress in the Children's Security Department's Security Officer Training Program; assist the Security Manager and the Security Tactics and Investigative Specialist with team training as needed and other duties and special projects as assigned

  • Shift is Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm, Monday 3pm-11pm, and Tuesday-Wednesday 11pm-7am at $16.00 an hour

Primary Purpose and Function

The primary purpose and responsibility of a Field Lead includes all Rules and Regulations that of a Security Officer, in addition to, but not limited to the following:

To act as a liaison between Operations, Field Assigned Personnel, and various inner-departmental functions within the branch, to include but not be limited to: supervising personnel, fielding calls, scheduling, payroll, and billing. The Field Lead will assist with the day-to-day operational and administrative activities to ensure the branch office and field accounts are operating with maximum efficiency.

Starting Pay Rate $22+ Hourly

Responsibilities

* Comply with company Code of Conduct, Policies, Procedures, and Safety Protocols and assure compliance of each by all field assigned subordinates.
* Complete site checks and document/record findings via computerized application
* ·Inspect field assigned personnel to ensure Handbook Policies and Post Orders are followed.·Inspect worksites for safety hazards and risk to security staff.
* Investigate and complete reports related to incidents and/or accidents.
* Deliver new-hire orientation, training, and on-going educational developmental programs.
* Aid in the retention of field personnel while ensuring that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
* Coach employees and administer disciplinary actions, as necessary at the direction of Branch Management.
* Stand post when a suitable security officer cannot be scheduled due to call offs, no-call, no-show, vacations, holidays, etc., but never to exceed more than fifty percent (50%) of time in any given workweek.
* Respond to any/all communications regarding call-off or no-show in accordance with Company policy.
* Communicate with field officers regarding scheduling, staffing, equipment, record keeping, and related matters, to ensure effective delivery of services.
* Prepare, discuss, and implement disciplinary notices and corrective actions.
* Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of potential security officers.
* Conduct and/or assist with new hire on-boarding, training and deployment of personnel.
* Supervise field officers to ensure that service expectations are being met through regular contact with applicable project managers, site supervisors, site leads, security officers, and clients.
* Evaluate service quality, inspect posts, and initiate corrective action in a timely manner.
* Participate in security officer performance reviews. Make recommendations for placement of personnel.
* Meet with operations management for status updates and to address actual or potential problems; provide support during client start-ups; provide input to security planning, assessments and surveys; review post orders and communicate requirements and changes to affected personnel.
* Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Ensure that subordinate staff members and field assigned personnel understand and comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Perform tasks and/or additional duties as required or requested by Company.

Education and Experience

High School graduate (some college education is preferred).

Minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.

Demonstrated skills in web searching and use of Excel and Word programs.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills preferred.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
