Description SUMMARY DESCRIPTION Under the general supervision of the assigned department administrator, perform a full range of warehouse duties; receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment to support District operations. This position ensures accurate inventory management, timely on and off campus deliveries, and adherence to safety protocols within the warehouse and distribution areas. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS Warehouse worker works under general supervision and handles minor issues independently. This classification requires above entry-level warehouse and inventory management skills. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma or a General Education Degree (GED) AND Two (2) years of warehouse operations experience. * One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week. Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement. * If specifically referenced (i.e. degree 'or equivalent'), related experience that is above the minimum requirement may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. * Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services(NACES). Work Environment This position requires physical demands to include, but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and carrying heavy objects repeatedly. Warehouse environment may be noisy and subject to varying temperatures. Will work alongside drivers who are moving pallets on different types of forklifts.
