SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the assigned department administrator, perform a full range of warehouse duties; receive, store, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment to support District operations. This position ensures accurate inventory management, timely on and off campus deliveries, and adherence to safety protocols within the warehouse and distribution areas.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Warehouse worker works under general supervision and handles minor issues independently. This classification requires above entry-level warehouse and inventory management skills.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or a General Education Degree (GED)

Two (2) years of warehouse operations experience.
* One year of experience is equal to 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week. Applicable part-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalent for purposes of meeting the experience requirement.

* Receive and store stock and supply items; verify deliveries against purchase orders and budget numbers for accuracy; inspect merchandise for damage and discrepancies; coordinate with vendors to resolve shortages or defects.

Follows work orders or oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved.
Receives, opens, and stores incoming materials and components and maintains receiving inbound inventory.

Lifts heavy materials by hand or with power hoist.

Complies with company policies, procedures, and state, federal, and local laws.

Handles inbound process of released materials from receiving dock to main warehouse.

Order Picking - Packaging Materials
From Material Pick List, selects materials for packaging batches and transfers batches to plastic pallets prior to staging for the packaging floor.
Requests, prepares and transfers QA approved bulk from Manufacturing to Packaging. Processes packaging run returns back into inventory.
Order Picking - Raw Materials - Powders & Capsules
From Material Pick List, selects raw material powders and capsules for Production using First In First Out picking strategy, loading materials on plastic pallets.
Stages picked raw material powders for Weighing Dept. and moves capsules to the Production Floor, providing batch identification labels for each pallet staged.
Transfers the material to the Weighing Dept. using an RF Scanner.
Processes packaging run returns back into inventory.
Shipping - Finished Goods Orders
Verifies the Customer Order using the Order Acknowledgement form to determine the size of the order for space requirements.
Retrieves completed pallets from the Packaging Dept. and processes by strapping & wrapping.
Following strapping and wrapping, stages the order in the designated area awaiting pick up.
When truck arrives, loads the truck, following the SOP processes for trailer inspection and shipping an outbound order, following specific Customer specifications, and labelling.
Transacts the order in Baan and completes any post shipment communication to Client Service, Planners and Customer representatives.
Shipping - Outside Vendor Processes
Follows the schedule set forth by the Planning Dept. for the shipment of raw materials and packaging components to outside vendors for sales order fulfillment or processes required in the production process.
Picks materials and stages for shipment based on the direction of the Planner's kitting email.
Generates a Packing List and Bill of Lading for the individual shipment.
Communicates to the Inventory Control Department, sending a file copy of the Packing List and Bill of Lading.
When the truck arrives, loads truck, following the SOP process for outbound order processing.
Truck Driving - Vista Only
Perform daily inspections of the truck using the approved checklist.
Operates the truck on material movements to and from Vista 1 & Vista 2.
Loads and unloads truck using a power pallet jack.
Skills include proper backing into a dock, proper braking with a load and dock parking including chocking the wheels.
No commercial driver's license is required to operate the NAI truck.
Truck Driving - Streets and Highways
Perform daily inspections of the truck using approved checklist.
Skilled enough to operate the truck wherever deliveries or pick ups are required.
Must have the ability to drive on streets and highways, paying particular attention to making proper turns and maintaining lane centering.
Truck Driving - Vista Only is a Pre-requisite for this skill.
Material Returns for Credit or Disposal
From the direction of the Purchasing Department, receives the document titled Advice of Product Return for Credit and works with the Quality Department to locate the material.
Follows the disposition instructed by Purchasing and takes the material to the Shipping Department if being returned and disposing of the material properly if being scrapped.
If shipping material back, contacts Purchasing to inform of pallet count, dimensions and weight so a pick up can be arranged.
Loads the truck upon arrival and fills out the Shipping Department portion of the Purchasing Document.
Signed document, along with Shipping paperwork is sent to Accounting. A copy of the completed Advice of Product Return for Credit is retained in the Shipping Department files.
Other Duties
Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor including but not limited to unloading trucks, cleaning the warehouse, maintaining forklift, pallet jack & cleaning logs, preparing and moving material to Vista 2 building and any activity supporting NAI operations.
Qualifications
Required: High school diploma or GED; English literacy (read, speak and write English); basic math skills; computer competency; mechanical aptitude.

Job Summary:
Will work to accomplish tasks such as forklift operation, cleaning, marking and moving material, pulling and packing material for orders, constructing shipping containers, putting stock away and backup truck driving responsibilities for CDL Class C, 26 foot flatbed truck. For qualified candidates, CDL-C certification and specialized training opportunities are available and can lead to higher base pay.

Required Essential Job Skills/Experience:

Required Essential Job Functions/Duties:
1. Determine material required for order. Warehouser will be responsible for their own orders as well as checking orders of other Warehousers and Associate Warehousers.
2. Will assist or pull stock for order. May use a forklift, side loader or pendant operated overhead crane.
3. Will use abrasive or band saw to cut material to customer specification. Check dimensional accuracy of parts with tape measure to tolerance of 1/16". May occasionally use micrometer to measure thickness of material or inside/outside diameter of tubing.
4. May use waist height cart to load items for order, depending up on size, weight or length of material.
5. Take item to packing area (31" high table) and determine proper packaging requirements. Count items to verify inventory to be shipped. Packaging may include the following: strap and wrap measure and cut cardboard tubing to fit dimensions of material, or assemble other shipping containers; verify items of invoice when packaging; mark material and shipping containers and place documents on outside of container.
6. Keep area clean and organized.
7. Load and unload trucks, and be backup driver (CDL - Class C) 26 foot flatbed truck as needed.

Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting with product purchasing/ordering, receiving and distribution control for the venue.
Maintain sanitation and organizational systems of all warehouse storage areas.
Fulfills all event expectations including but not limited to requisitioning during events, post-event break down, warehouse returns, equipment storage, sanitation and maintenance.
Oversee and ensure that appropriate stocking levels are met for each event; rotate and maintain integrity of product.
Ensure proper transfer process of product between locations, including follow-up documentation.
Assists in performing routine maintenance; responsible for concession and utility equipment cleaning and maintenance: portable equipment, burden carriers, carts, floors, refrigeration, and lighting. Ensure manifested equipment is in location.
Conduct walk through of the commissary, warehouse and storage areas after the completion of the day to ensure all areas are clean.
