This is a high-impact role with interaction with senior leadership, and offers advancement potential to the Operations Manager in two years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Receiving:
a. Check and validate all inventory arriving at the warehouse and reconcile SKUs with the Bill of Lading and supplier/ vendor invoices.
b. Enter all inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including expiry date and warehouse shelf location.
c. Separate any damaged product, or product not ordered by Apni Mandi, into a separate storage area for return to the supplier/ vendor with the appropriate documentation.
d. Ensure safe and smooth operations to place inventory into the warehouse racks.
2. Inventory accounting:
a. Conduct a monthly inventory count of the warehouse and reconcile it to the WMS data.
b. Identify SKUs from the inventory count that do not reconcile with the WMS and investigate what caused the difference to occur.
c. Implement changes to the process and systems to ensure the volume of SKUs that cannot be reconciled with the WMS is minimized.
d. Monitor inventory for SKUs nearing expiry and coordinate their prompt shipment to stores to prevent stock loss.
3. Inventory deliveries:
a. Ensure timely deliveries to stores are made and contain all the SKUs (and volumes) ordered by the stores.
b. Liaise with the store teams to ensure deliveries are accurate and on-time. Address any issues with deliveries proactively to ensure stores maximize their sales potential.
c. Manage the company truck fleet and ensure trucks operate efficiently and that inventory is not damaged, lost or misplaced.
4. Safety, compliance, and administration:
a. Ensure a safe and comfortable workplace for the warehouse team. Ensure that bathrooms and the kitchen area are clean and well- maintained.
b. Ensure the team wears safety vests and boots, that all machine operators are trained and certified and that all machinery is well- maintained.
c. Comply with all Federal, State of California and City ordinances and food safety requirements.
d. Perform administrative duties that include hiring and termination of employees, payroll management and overtime minimization, reporting of returns to vendors/ suppliers, monitor inventory levels of fast-turn SKUs, and other administrative duties.
5. Leadership & Strategic Contribution:
a. Report directly to the President and CEO in relation to all warehouse operations.
b. Serve as a key member of the leadership team to support the financial performance of the company and its growth plans.
c. Interact with the senior team to monitor financial performance versus budget.

**Overview**
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for completing shipments by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area; driving truck or van to and from vendors; completing preventive maintenance requirements on truck and van; arranging for repairs; collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
