The Farm Labor Supervisor will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising activities for a team of 40 who handles the manual weeding, irrigation, planting and harvesting of crops at the farm. They are expected to deliver operational excellence in safety, quality and the delivery of products to our customers. This position will achieve results through leading the team with technical support, coaching, and mentoring.
Responsibilities will include:
Supervising project management initiatives. Implementing best practices in the day-to-day activities of the farm, including goals and equipment readiness, tracking all field activities, and serving as the critical liaison between farm activities and the farm staff. Additional duties will include overseeing worker housing, our compost operations and community services initiatives. This role will work with our Research and Development team to support field initiatives.
Required qualifications:
* Minimum 4 years' experience within farm operations
* Prior leadership experience
* High School Diploma/GED
* Ability to think strategically and understand and develop long-term sustainable initiatives
* Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment, utilizing basic maintenance skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Basic computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook or comparable programs
Skills to be successful in the role:
* Bilingual ability in Spanish is a major plus
* Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma initiatives and/or process improvement methodologies.

What you'll do:
Provide efficient operation of the tank farm facilities.
* Shipping and receiving of bulk chemicals in the tank farm; provides services for the prompt and accurate filling, packing, and shipping of tank farm customer orders.
* Ensures compliance with all State and Federal labeling and shipping laws and regulations on merchandise shipped from warehouse.
* Inspects and checks tank farm equipment and facilities to ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
* Ensures the maintenance and protection of warehouse stocks, supplies, and equipment.
* Handling, blending, and pumping hazardous chemicals outdoors.
* Transfer hazardous chemicals from railcar to tank & tank to trailer.
* Package totes and drums with product.
* Any problems with regard to tank farm operation should be brought to the attention of Warehouse or Operation's Manager

Your Day at Lowe's

Summary:
As a Farm Worker, you are responsible for assisting with general farm operations including, but not limited to the planting, maintenance and harvest of the company's clam and oyster beds. You will also perform general grounds maintenance and upkeep and assist with various projects as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tasks on the shellfish beds as directed, to include harvesting oysters in tubs, installing pipe and hanging longlines, and planting, maintaining and harvesting clam beds.
Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively in inclement weather and adverse conditions that are typically found on the tide beds and on the boats.
Assist with farm organization and clean up as directed.
Operate various farm equipment including pallet jacks, forklifts, and farm boats.
Complete paperwork, logs and maintain records as required.
Maintain farm safety at all times; comply with company health and safety guidelines.
Provide back up support for other duties as needed, to include acting as a deckhand on the dredge boats, cutting longline pipe and making longlines.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Required:
Minimum of six months related experience in the construction, manufacturing, farming, or related industry.
Preferred:
Prior boat operator experience and license.
