The Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) provides the occupational therapy program with management and administration of the fieldwork program. As a full-time faculty member, the AFWC procures fieldwork sites, provides development to fieldwork educators, and monitors student fieldwork progress. The AFWC ensures the OTD program's compliance with ACOTE fieldwork requirements. The AFWC works closely with KGI's Office of Experiential Education and directly reports to the OTD Program Director.
Located in beautiful Claremont, California, Keck Graduate Institute is a member of the prestigious Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five undergraduate liberal arts colleges, two graduate institutions, and The Claremont Colleges Services, which provide shared institutional support services. Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess a Doctoral degree from a United States Department of Education recognized accredited program and be a registered and licensed occupational therapist in the state of California, with at least three years of clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with ACOTE fieldwork requirements. Procure and develop fieldwork education sites that fit with the scope and sequence of didactic courses and curriculum design. Provide development to fieldwork educators to support student learning experiences. Place students in fieldwork sites. Support students while on fieldwork. Oversee administration of fieldwork requirements of affiliation agreements, student health records, site-specific requirements, and utilization of healthcare education management system. Manage fieldwork courses. Engage in service activities for the Institute. Participate in scholarly activities of research and program development in collaboration with OTD faculty. Demonstrate professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the OTD program.
