GENERAL FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, collects and documents accounts involved in total or repairable loss claims involving a primary insurance carrier and/or GAP company in accordance with departmental, investor, and legal guidelines. Coordinate with insurance carrier through phone/email contact to ensure claim proceeds are received and accurate. Conduct research through account/contract reviews, receive and process aftermarket product cancellation payments, and track results for accuracy.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with insurance companies and customers through inbound/outbound calls and emails to assist in the handling of total loss and/or repair claims
Review accounts and work with dealers and/or providers to cancel aftermarket products
Accurately and efficiently process refunds and update trackers to reflect payment information received
Follow up with dealers and/or providers regarding discrepancies in refunds
Procure and supply documentation necessary to garner claim proceeds
Conduct research including statements, customer files, and payment copies to verify accuracy of claim proceeds
Record all efforts via the department systems insuring that all accounts are called and noted accurately
Perform any other duties as assigned

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years of collections, insurance claims, or equivalent work experience.

Strong experience with Microsoft office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Proficient with computer systems and keyboarding / data entry skills with moderate speed and accuracy.

+ Coordinate with IT on systemic issues that impact loan closings and communicate issues along with anticipated timelines to Retail.
+ Update request in ACAPS and other systems for the resolution of and pre-closing discrepancies.
+ Verify Determine change of circumstance and correctly document in file.
+ Ensure re-disclosure was performed timely based on the new information received within the bank.
+ Validate that fees disclosed on the closing disclosure were within the allow able tolerances and compared to the last disclosed loan estimate based on a valid changed circumstance that followed the required time period for re disclosure.
+ Validate or verify that loan is set-up correctly with proper signers according to title company requirements.
+ Confirm waiver dates and mail time (appraisals, other disclosures) were followed accurately and the earliest acceptable close date updated appropriately.
+ Handle any remediation efforts that are needed during post close review regarding the above mentioned tasks.
+ Research, document, and clear unexpected liens on title
+ Work with vendors and other third parties to assist with lien clearance
+ Understand and be able to explain consumer loan documents including notes, loan estimates, closing disclosures, security agreements, and others.
+ Understand and be able to explain customer income documents such as paystubs, W2s, personal and business tax returns.
+ Coordinate with third parties and utilize internal vendors to process applications including, but not limited to, ordering and verifying payoffs from other lenders and verifications of employment.
+ Manage a pipeline of consumer loan applications to ensure accurate and timely processing.

As a Market Executive, you will hire and direct team members in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships with Middle Market companies. In this role you will be expected to maintain a portfolio of your own while leading the banking team however the portfolio size is typically smaller in recognition of management responsibilities. Your team will typically include four to six bankers with indirect oversight over an underwriting staff, a sales/marketing assistant, treasury sales officer and client service professionals.
Middle Market banking generally focuses on companies between $20 million and $100 million in sales size.

The Business Banking Underwriter IV is responsible for underwriting Business Banking loans to determine credit worthiness and compliance with Bank lending policy. Duties and Responsibilities: * Supports Business Banking production by maintaining an individual pipeline of work.
* Reviews all financial and credit application information to make sound credit decisions. Loans would typically include those with most complex credit structures and customer exposure up to $10MM.
* Utilizes single approval authority up to $4MM.
* Appropriately assess risk profile of borrower.
* Assist with training and mentoring new hires as well as providing support for the UWI, UW II & UW III job families as needed.
* Tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family.
* Act as primary back up for their manager as needed for team huddles & meetings.
* Is positioned with knowledge and expertise to represent direct manager outside of function group as needed.
* Collaborate with both credit and segment risk to meet or exceed department goals.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* 7+years' experience with business or commercial underwriting in a centralized lending environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business related field
* 3-4 years leadership / management experience
* Ability to underwrite credit exposures in excess of $4MM.
* Previous authority to underwrite and decision credits without additional signers.
* Demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, professionalism, and ability to interact with all levels within the organization in a professional manner.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office and other internet resources
* Excellence in customer service, highly motivated, focused and goal oriented.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, planning and follow-up.
* Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
* Ability to determine and make necessary changes without oversight within their functional team to better the unit as a whole.

Compensation Range:
$70,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
