GENERAL FUNCTION: The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for collaborating with Product Manager(s), Technology, Lines of Business, Risk and other key partners to define and maximize specific bank product(s). May work in conjunction with a more experienced Product Owner or on less complex products within the organization. Will likely need coaching and guidance from the leader while developing further expertise in this role. Is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the development of a product that exceeds customer expectations and drives growth for the Bank. Will help define, develop and support the implementation of product roadmap deliverables, capabilities, and adoption, supporting business outcomes and lead a robust, continuous prioritization process to maximize total value, risk mitigation, and other business benefits across the bank. In some work environments, will be a proponent for SAFe (Strategic Agile Framework) methodologies and will be responsible for working with others to deliver outcomes by the ART (Agile Release Train) by ensuring the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. Will manage and prioritize the team's backlog by prioritizing, articulating, and delivering new features from ideation through production release. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk assessment, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Support and adhere to all governance processes as defined by Enterprise. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Motivate teams to deliver on the strategy and roadmap for continuous growth and improvement of product outcomes and experience. + Partner with other business functions, IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to define and execute on the product strategies. + Work with senior Product Owners or leadership to establish annual goals, objectives and outcomes for product(s) and customer satisfaction; Track and monitor key performance indicators and outcomes. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain agreement/approval/guidance, including Lines of Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Fraud, Architecture, and related functions. + Provide transparency and ongoing communications with line of business partners/key stakeholders. + Make decisions to drive key outcomes in support of regulatory and compliance needs, new revenue growth, process optimization, and other business-wide analytics needs. + Work with subject matter experts to solve problems and make decisions in support of the team, with a focus on driving the greatest outcome for the product and the Bank. + Engage with research team to define and implement customer usability testing, concept. validation, and co-creation studies to gain insights and identify customer needs and solutions. + Partner closely with third parties to cultivate the relationship, understand product releases, remediate defects/outages, and ensure a seamless experience for our employees and customers. + Maintain and provide product information to users and partners for training and other documentation. + Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc. + If appropriate: + Support a SAFe mindset across the product teams. + Collaborate with SAFe teams on creating and maintaining a healthy product backlog, creating/reviewing/accepting backlog items (user stories, defects, technical spikes, etc.) and participating in team ceremonies such as sprint reviews/demos. + Motivate teams to deliver on roadmaps for improvement of product outcomes and experience through the development of potentially releasable code in each sprint.
