The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Docket Clerk, senior level to join our Firm. This position can be based in our Los Angeles or New York office (hybrid). The Senior Docket Clerk will maintain the docket and calendar for various state and federal court cases. Los Angeles Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM PT; New York: Noon - 8 PM ET
Ensures staff calendar entries are accurate.
Docket and calendar documents through the Firm's calendar software.
Utilizes various software systems and internal Firm reports to onboard new client-matters.
Prepares and issues calendar software reports.
Provides accurate and timely responses to requests and questions and ensures a high-quality work product that aligns with Firm values.
Stays current on understanding Firm policies, industry trends, and professional development opportunities.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
Manages Firm resources responsibly.
Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge of conventional and electronic filings in various State and Federal courts
Knowledge of Federal and State judicial rules

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

JOB SUMMARY
The Trademark Docketing Clerk will handle U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution work. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge base of trademark law, prior law firm experience, docketing knowledge and must be detail-oriented.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Review correspondence for purposes of updating electronic trademark database, CPi. This includes identifying information to be included in CPi and any applicable deadlines.
Retrieve trademark information from various websites of foreign trademark offices.
Enter, update and maintain records in CPi for all trademark matters. This includes domestic and international prosecution work as well as conflicts and contentious proceedings related to the firm's trademark work.
Extensive review of correspondence from foreign associates for the purpose of identifying any deadlines or information that must be added to CPi.
Track pending 3rd party applications for potential enforcement matters.
Oversee and manage the integration of large client trademark portfolios managed by other firms into our database.
Generate reports detailing various aspects of client trademark portfolios and review these for accuracy.
Create reports detailing upcoming deadlines for client matters.
Manage non-trademark IP matters through CPi. This includes domain names, copyrights and confiscations by U.S. and foreign customs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree is required. Paralegal certificate is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in docketing for trademark prosecution.
Knowledge of CPi is a must.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Salary: $80,000-$100,000.
The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 3 days in the office.
