The Scheduling Coordinator will plan, schedule, coordinate, and assess loads, routes and backhauls for Riverence Provisions LLC.
Essential Functions
Input order information into corresponding truck route load sheet to include cases count, weights both gross and net, order number, bill of lading number, purchase order number, and verifying customer delivery information for changes.
Works with warehouse in a timely matter to obtain sales orders, load sheets, Federal Express orders and any other changes that impact shipments.
Notifies and schedules deliveries to both customers and secondary carriers for delivery to their terminal via Riverence Provisions LLC equipment and communicate the customers requested delivery date and time to all secondary carriers.
Schedules customer delivery appointments for Riverence Provisions LLC outbound equipment and customer pick up from processing facility.
Calculates and initiates pre-invoices, through approved tariff rate schedule, for outbound product transported on Riverence Provisions LLC equipment.
Approves all secondary carrier invoices and verifies published tariff rates prior to submittal to the Distribution Director.
Posts secondary carrier cost information to the load sheet to identify the excessive freight and the cost per pound associated with each customer.
Reviews the outbound schedules with the interstate drivers prior to each regional trip departure.
Utilize forecasting in advance of the trip scheduling process to facilitate timely deliveries, maximum product weight capacity and cost efficient delivery options.
Coordinating and scheduling back haul opportunities within our distribution network.
Establish and/or support backhaul customer relationships.
Updates the Distribution Manager on scheduling issues that adversely affect the overall objective of maintaining timely market deliveries.
Performs various departmental special projects and other duties as directed by the Distribution Manager.
Inputs and tracks trip packets, fuel receipts, vacation days and tracks driver's logs for tax purposes and maintain these records for the allotted amount of time.
Works closely with Riverence Provisions sales group in coordinating sales orders and tracking gross vehicle weight on departing trucks.
Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned.
