    Full-time Description The Advanced Technician is held to a high standard of canning. This tech can lead his team on canning runs daily with measurable success. They communicate with customers professionally while also understanding how to trouble shoot day to day issues. Basic seamer education allows them to make minor adjustments when needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Troubleshooting and escalation Understands minimizing dissolved oxygen under various conditions New SOP awareness and adherence Canning line setup and cleaning Machine repair Performs jobs unsupervised with a Tech I or II Seamer understanding and minor adjustments Communicates run and issues with customer Communicates with other employees and gives direction as needed Canning line maintenance days Previous duties as needed Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Advanced mechanical skills: Equipment doesn't always work as it should. As an Advanced Tech, you'll often need to independently troubleshoot issues and make on-site adjustments/repairs. Communication/feedback to Regional and employees Ability to operate canning line, depalletizer, labeler, nitrogen doser Physically Demands: Mobile canning requires strength, coordination, and endurance. You'll need to pull 150-lb. pallets of cans, push the 800-lb. canning line into place (it is on wheels), stay on your feet for lengthy 8-12-hour shifts, and perform other physical tasks as required. Flexible Schedule: Every week is different, depending on the breweries scheduled. Long hours and overnight stays are common. Hardworking: Pride in your work, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are all essential. Quick Learner: There is a lot to learn as our procedures and processes are always improving. Beer Knowledge: Home brewing or brewery experience is a big plus, as is a general appreciation for great craft beer. Education and Experience: Nitrogen certifications required High school diploma or equivalent required. 4-year college degree preferred but not required One/two year of packing machine operator experience preferred. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at job sites including loud noise, high and low temperatures and small working areas.
