Maintenance technician job at Filtration Group
Demonstrable ability with sense of motivation operate all equipment in the assigned production unit. Monitor and ensure overall production and relatable movement with adherence to safety, compliance, and efficiency standards. Builds Assembly equipment/Compression tunnels as needed. Performs set-ups, adjustments, preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned equipment. Ensures optimal production and quality output of assigned equipment. Trouble shoot operational challenges and provide back-up as needed. Please note, the shift hours will be Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure on-time start-up and optimal performance of machinery.
* Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plan for and take corrective action. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
* Fabricate parts for new & existing equipment, assemble automated systems from individual parts and subassemblies.
* Test equipment to check operation. Clear jams and set aside product for inspection and/or rework. Test equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended down time.
* Check product for visual defects.
* Make preventative maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment ensuring safety and optimum performance. Report findings to supervisor/engineering and take appropriate action.
* Notify production and engineering of recurring problems, equipment malfunctions and supplies needed. Take related corrective actions
* Interface with Supervisor on special projects.
* Follow all safety procedures and use necessary personal protective equipment. Ensure that all work meets regulatory requirements (OSHA).
* Observe "Lockout/Tagout" procedures while working on equipment.
* Cognitive and demonstrative organizational capabilities.
* Assist in quality control and preventative measures with active participation in (SQDIP) Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Production.
* Understand the product flow and processing systems as well as know the whereabouts of all storage areas.
* Identify all raw materials and finished goods.
* Understand material handling tasks with ability to learn Con-Air products.
* Perform daily maintenance and upkeep of forklift equipment.
* Perform duties safely and report all observed safety hazards to the supervisor. Conduct self accordingly regarding PPE, performance, attitude, and involvement.
* Ability to communicate written and verbally with pleasant interpersonal skills that must be sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position in a safe manner.
* Participate and actively cultivate an environment of Production "Team" across all shifts.
* Participate in training new Production personnel on proper use of machines, equipment, safety requirements, and product quality standards.
* Ensure that materials and labor are utilized effectively and efficiently to achieve optimal production.
* Perform other duties as assigned or required by Flow Dry Leadership.
* Maintain a safe, neat and organized production area where everyone will perform safely.
* Be punctual and present to work daily, ability to work overtime as requested.
Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager or Director of Facilities, the Facilities Maintenance Lead will lead the local Facilities team with day-to-day tasks/requests and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of facilities, and grounds. Additionally, the Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading projects or project sections involving the enhancement and design of all interior and exterior occupied space which includes the remodel of existing space and construction of new space.
The incumbent leads or assists in, facility inspections, building operations, maintenance, safety, and security. Also included are duties associated with the supervision of facilities employees which report directly to the incumbent. *Position is on-site in our Bloomington, IL office.*
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance (and lead/mentor/supervise team members) to the interior/exterior of facilities including, but not limited to, restrooms, break rooms, sidewalks, and lobby. Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building and equipment such as chairs, tables, doors, light fixtures, floor tiles, walls, pipes/plumbing, vents, ceiling tiles, picnic tables, awnings, and move file cabinets, hang pictures, banners, and decorations. Help keep facilities and grounds free of trash and debris.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and research mechanical issues to repair and/or provide recommendations to solve issues. Meet with vendors who provide maintenance to HVAC systems, fire, backflow, plumbing, electrical, security, and generator systems.
Ensure routine maintenance to the HVAC systems (belt, filter, and thermostat replacements), and assist with specific maintenance to the systems.
Assists in preparing construction specifications and project plans. Directs contracted projects to ensure adherence, follows all specifications. Assists management in solving issues with service providers. Coordinates all facility inspections; report findings and coordinates required repairs and/or replacements. Maintains and controls adequate building temperatures utilizing software systems at sites where applicable.
Work with maintenance vendors for mowing, trees, shrubs, bedding areas, and snow removal. Also works with janitorial vendor to ensure quality services are provided.
Work with vendors and fuel distributors on preventative maintenance plans. Inspect and perform weekly generator maintenance tests.

How You'll Make an Impact:
As ABC's Water Softener Service Technician (WQ), you will sell, install, repair, and/or maintain water treatment and filtration systems with professionalism and excellent customer service.
Requirements
What You'll Bring:
Water Softener experience required - at least 1 year minimum.
Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
Class I, II, or III Water Treatment license, or the ability to obtain one.
Excellent communication & customer service skills.
High proficiency with emailing, instant messaging and use of various electronic devices and applications for effective communication/information sharing.
Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and handle irate customers and still maintain good composure.
Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.

What You'll Do:
Must know and understand all applicable federal, state, and local codes and be able to apply them in a practical manner on each job.
Accurately diagnose the cause of water quality issues; recommend options for repair, installation or replacement of systems to customers; and complete all authorized service repairs.
Quote each job by using a flat rate price book in accordance with company policy, collect and deliver payment from customer to the office and complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Work with inspectors, suppliers and co-workers to ensure correct project work, while abiding by all codes.
Carry out general skills such as: soldering; pipe-threading/gluing/using pro-press tools and fittings; diagnosing mechanical issues with water treatment equipment and repairing; water leak detection and repair; performing basic water quality tests; changing out drinking water filters.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, CSRs and customers to ensure complete alignment at all times during the service repair or replacement process.
Work with and train any helpers which may be assigned to work with you.
Maintain necessary licenses or certifications and complete required continuing education.
Maintain a professional attitude at all times with customers, fellow employees and supervisors.
