STG International finance analyst/accountant job description

STG International is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Account Analyst position in Bethesda, Maryland.

The Account Analyst is trained in basic customer service, accounts receivable, and basic knowledge of appropriation law. Duties include an administrative review of Inter-Agency Agreements (IAA), monitoring of the spend rate, a collection of rejected bill and coordination of resolution, providing various billing reports to customers, responding to finance office and program managers. Partners with Operation leads, Account Executives, Program Managers for Federal Occupational Health (FOH) services areas.
Account Analyst to perform:

+ Responsible for the review and analysis of customer budgets to identify trending patterns and/or anomalies in expenditures

+ Ensure that customers are satisfied with FOH occupational health services

+ Review customer funding proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with FOH policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

+ Inform FOH program staff of status and availability of customer funds for services

+ Work with FOH program managers to review and recommend financial adjustment to customer proposed funding based on actual services being requested

+ Routinely monitor customer spending to ensure appropriate draw down against billing charges for services

+ Explain recommendations for financial adjustments to customer funding requests based on actual service

+ Address funding issues (missing, outstanding, or short funding) with customers, project funding required for remainder of fiscal year, provide reports to customers (as requested), address, research, and resolve billing issues, at month end--review charges for per capitated agreements and validate funds availability for all service areas, respond to general customer services inquiries, assist account executives and operational leads in maintaining customer relationships.

+ Communicate analyses results of customer accounts effectively

+ Financial Information Packet mailed to customer and received via secure email.

+ Prepare summary reports or other reports as need.

Required Skills

Minimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:

+ MS Office (Intermediate EXCEL skills and basic WORD), customer relations, ability to learn new systems

+ Works well independently and as a team member, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), leadership and organizational skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills to include attention to detail and follow-through and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously are required, understanding of both internal and external customer service as demonstrated on resume

Required Experience

Minimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensure/Experience:

+ Bachelor's degree with no experience with 6-months experience in customer service,

+ Associate's degree with 1-year experience in customer service health related field or 3 years' experience in customer account management service (to include health care).

Position Purpose

As a mid-level Professional in Program Accounting, the successful candidate will partner closely with customer business teams, program management and accounting to forecast and manage long-term engineering contracts. This includes supporting financial forecasts (short range outlooks, formal forecasts, annual plan) and periodic program reviews (EACs). + Track budget and program financial data, analyze program risk

+ Communicate with Program Teams to guide and resolve issues related to Program Accounting

+ Support external and internal audits and Balance Sheet Reviews

+ Conduct financial due diligence and apply accounting procedures while also gathering and analyzing data

+ Think Globally, work closely with support teams, and other regions

You Must Have

+ Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

+ 3+ years of directly related accounting/financial analysis experience

+ Due to defense contract related work, must be a U.S. Citizen
