Assistant Controller Responsibilities
Owns the month-end financial close process
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Assist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
Review balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy
Support cash management, bank reconciliations, and working capital analysis
Help implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and leadership
Assistant Controller Educations & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience working within a manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
ERP experience (MS Dynamics 365 is a plus)
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools

Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Reconcile financial transactions by validating account information.
Maintains department checkbooks and recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Adheres to SOX auditing regulations with all financial transactions by auditing documents.
