Essential Functions Client Relationships and Service Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients, gaining their trust and respect by providing accurate and timely service and information. Provides high quality service, retention, development and expansion of client relationships. Works with other bank personnel to proactively meet client needs in an efficient manner across all departments. Product Knowledge and Selling Provides product opportunities to clients using proactive selling techniques; efficiently and accurately opens all branch-related products. Maintains current knowledge of all Retail Banking products, to identify and resolve clients' needs. Introduce and cross-sell new and existing bank products by identifying client needs through thoughtful, needs-based conversations. Leverage strategic questioning to match products with client goals. Sales and Marketing Engage with clients both over the phone and in person as they walk into the branch, identifying opportunities to present products and services that meet their needs. Responsible for marketing consumer and small business banking products including preparing for client calls, making sales calls, and call follow-up. Identifies opportunities and continually prospects for new clients. Generates leads through existing relationships; asks clients for referrals. Participates in call plans tailored to increase the market penetration and client usage of bank services and identifies needs in prospects to establish them as clients. Uncovers clients' needs by asking the right questions; utilizes need-based selling. Reports on results will be recorded and reported on a regular basis. Additional Responsibilities Perform transactions, new account and lending responsibilities to best serve the needs of the client. Maintains accountability for individual contributions to the achievement of branch and team goals, encouraging self and others to achieve results. Meets with manager to discuss sales strategy calls and report results related to current branch focus. Participate in community affairs and activities where warranted for effective business development and community exposure. Sets and monitors proactive client contact standards for each individual client relationship they establish Proactively identifies and mitigates potential risks and fraudulent activities by following established policies, monitoring transactions for irregularities, and escalating concerns as appropriate. Administrative Complies with all Bank policies and procedures. Participate in branch audits. Maintains knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues as appropriate. Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned. Regular, reliable attendance is required. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with clients, co-workers and management, building appropriate rapport at all levels. Ability to listen and ask appropriate questions to best serve the client. Flexible and adaptable to change. Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with accurate attention to detail. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, using logic to solve problems with effective solutions. High degree of PC based technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products and other necessary applications. In this role you will: * Participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach as well as proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially * Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications * Receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures * Develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs * Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships * Provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customer * Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed * This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction.
