Terreva Renewables is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CIM GROUP fund vehicles. We are currently hiring a Fund Controller responsible for the overall quality of the accounting, information supporting the financial reporting, maintenance of fixed asset schedules, interfacing with external audit firms and portfolio company ownership. Also responsible for, performance measurement and preparation of management reports, including cash flow forecasting and other analysis, for renewable energy assets.

Terreva Renewables projects provide significant social, environmental, and economic value by reducing emissions, lowering carbon footprint and enhancing the overall reliability of energy infrastructure.

Position Duties:Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls Interfaces with outsourced accounting provider and provides oversight to ensure outsourced scope is being delivered Be the key liaison between external auditor and completing annual financial audits Reviews full-cycle accounting output from outsourced accounting provider, monitor investments including preparation and analysis of the financial statements, general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, budgets, cash flow projections and review of job cost reports.Monitors and manages liquidity across several operating and holding companies Prepare and/or review holding company and operating company level financial statements to meet lender reporting requirements and work with Financial Reporting to assist in the preparation or review of financial statements to meet investor requirements.Manages holding company and operating company debt facilities (cash flow waterfalls, financial reporting obligations) Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual operating and capital budgets, compares actual results to budget Performs tax accounting and tracking Federal and State tax compliance/reporting and working with external tax preparers and fund ownership tax teams Identify financial, safety or security risks that the client company or organization may face Assist with operational and asset management reporting to meet executive requirements and investor inquiries

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Minimum 5-10 years' experience in accounting/finance Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas Real estate, private equity, and/or alternative investments experience, particularly fair value fund and/or partnership accounting. Expertise in the various investment asset classes, including real estate sub-classes, infrastructure, renewable energy and/or debt as well as the management, development, accounting and reporting processes. Big 4 or other Public Accounting Experience (preferred). CPA (preferred) Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting Experience in Yardi, MRI, J. D. Edwards or comparable software

The type of work you'll do:Own the relationship with our outsourced provider of finance and accounting services to ensure an accurate and efficient month-end close process.Develop clear documentation for any material or subjective accounting policies and manage the year end financial audit process.Work closely with our tax advisors to ensure that the company complies with all federal, state, and local tax requirements, makes timely filings, and takes full advantage of applicable tax credits.Help manage and document processes for accounts payable, payroll, benefits administration, banking, and other day-to-day operational accounting areas.Researching, evaluating, and implementing new systems to work seamlessly with our existing financial tech stack and financial processes.Work with leadership on internal reporting and board updates.
What we'd love to see you bring:6+ years of experience in financial management at a leading technology company or top-tier public accounting firm.CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent advanced accounting degree.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, particularly Excel / Google Sheets.Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (Quickbooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc.).Inclusive communication and interpersonal skills.Collaborative work practices and interest in working with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to own, lead and manage multiple projects requiring frequent communications, organization/time management and problem-solving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation of monthly management accounts for the France and Belgium businesses under tight reporting deadlines to the US parent Preparation of supplementary returns to US head office finance team Investigate and explain variances to budget and forecast.Work with the FP&A team to prepare detailed budgets and forecasts Manage a junior finance team (2 x part quals) Liaison with project team to ensure smooth delivery into finance of system changes and upgrades Maintain a culture of ongoing people development and process improvement Maintenance of a strong accounting control environment via monthly balance sheet reconciliation process Review of month end reconciliations and timely resolution of differences Manage AR ledgers for relevant businesses Preparation of the annual financial statements for statutory entities including liaison with external auditors with support from ECCFinance point of contact for staff in local offices Potential ad hoc European travel to assist with compliance obligations e.g. meetings with compliance advisors Assist with finance projects as and when required

Personal Qualities
Qualified accountant with min 3 years PQE experience Ability to interface with all levels of management and staff Comfortable working in a large finance team of approx. 40 staff and liaising with peer group of Financial Controllers (5 in total including this role) Excellent technical accounting knowledge High level of IT literacy including use of databases preferred (MS Access) Ability to effectively delegate tasks whilst retaining responsibility Strong organisational skills Comfortable with managing staff whilst working from home and ensuring delivery on key objectives Accomplished communication skills, verbal and written Flexible approach and willingness to “roll up sleeves”Astute attention to detail, ensuring that as far as possible items presented are ‘right 1st time'
