Collections and Account Management * Monitor delinquent student, vendor, and special program accounts (including financial aid disbursements, internal payment plans, registration changes, and return of title IV funds); prepare and process referrals to external collection agencies. * Manages transfer process, and ensures accuracy of internal account updates as well as the preparation and upload of custom referral reports/documents. * Coordinate directly with external collection agencies to ensure payments, adjustments, and disputes are processed accurately and in a timely manner. * Monitors inventory and monthly invoices. * Monitors and maintains proper restriction holds on customer accounts. * Generate collection and payment plan reports for student outreach and intervention. * Verify and process student and vendor refunds in compliance with Title IV and state regulations, including identity verification with the refund vendor. * Investigates, researches and resolves discrepancies in student & vendor accounts. Your key areas of contribution will include: * Financial strategy - assist in the development of unit economic and go-to-market strategy for our growing suite of solutions in a variety of product categories and channels, facilitating discussions with other members of the Alarm.com pricing committee and other internal groups to implement and monitor these strategies. * Deal design -engage with internal parties to design contract terms and structures for customer relationships; learning to define and deploy negotiation strategies internally and externally as well as to monitor the effect on business outcomes stemming from the designs. * Project management - leverage business and industry knowledge to lead internal initiatives from ideation to launch, managing responsibilities in multiple areas of the project to ensure successful execution in pursuit of business objectives. * Stakeholder management - proactively communicate with product management, supply chain and sales throughout the project lifecycles to ensure that all groups are aligned and exchanging information seamlessly. * Addressable market analysis - evaluate addressable market opportunities to help inform resource allocation planning, incorporating data from multiple sources to quantify current and future market / category growth along with Alarm.com's competitive positioning in the market. * Unit economic analysis - build robust and dynamic models to evaluate business impact across different scenarios, including pricing changes, demand growth, COGS changes, etc. * Post-implementation analysis - collaborate across teams to assess the impact of pricing, contract, and business model changes, surfacing insights that inform future strategy and decision-making. * Comparative analysis - conduct competitive analysis and pricing research, surveys, and in-market testing to understand elasticity and inform recommendations. * Collaboration - work cross-functionally with sales, finance, operations, legal, business intelligence, marketing, product, and others. * AI First Mindset - approach everything through a dual lens that includes a critical assessment of how you can make a process work more efficiently through automation and/or adoption of emerging technologies. * Other duties as assigned. YOU WILL LIKELY BE A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE IF: * You have excellent leadership skills and thrive in matrixed organizations. * You are a team player, have strong analytical acumen and attention to detail. * You have experience with subscription-based business models. * You have 2-4 years of relevant professional experience which includes strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, FP&A, or a similar data-centric role. * You are detail-orientated with the ability to develop, and execute identified objectives. * You're a self-starter and a proven team player in an achievement-oriented environment. * You value being both a mentor and mentee and strive to be a reliable partner in the business. * You have the proven ability to develop creative/non-traditional solutions with strategic thinking. * You are an effective communicator comfortable presenting complex information to audiences with varying levels of financial acumen, including executives. * You have an undergraduate degree - preferably with advanced course work in Accounting, Finance, Strategy, Mathematics, and/or Economics. * You have working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts. * You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills (V or X lookup, index/match functions, pivot tables, sumifs, etc.). * You are willing to put personal ambition aside to achieve optimal outcomes through collective endeavors - allowing the best ideas to win while contributing to the pursuit of value creation, regardless of personal attribution and commendation.
