Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Manage key FP&A processes for FreeWheel, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-range planning, monthly close coordination with Accounting, and variance analysis.Provide FreeWheel consolidated financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to executive management.Leads the preparation and review of budget materials for the FreeWheel executive team and manages on-going reporting against budget and plan objectives.Participates in budgeting and long-range financial planning, including setting base case, communicating assumptions, coordinating planning process and timeline, and consolidating inputs.Analyze and review monthly P&L results and variance explanations, preparing commentary against budget and prior periods for FreeWheel.Maintain and enhance the P&L reporting tool as well as build out dashboards in Tableau for additional analysis & presentation of financial results.Drive process improvements and proactively develop ways to improve the speed and accuracy in the forecasting and budget process for both revenue and expenses.Performs financial modeling for key projects and business decisions. Assists in the development of strategic plans for existing, new, or proposed business operations.Compares financial results to planned or forecasted results and recommends future actions. Analyzes the ongoing profitability of all new businesses and/or programs entered into by FreeWheel.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Highlights:

In support of the Chief Financial Office and the Director of Finance, supports the direction and development of the long-term organizational financial strategy and operations for Saint Mary's Health Care as a Health Ministry Organization of Trinity Health. In doing so, manages Senior Financial and Financial Analysts in supporting various functions including: the Long Range Financial Plan, Budgeting and Capital Planning functions, Pine Rest Joint Venture, Doran Foundation, Charge Master, and Productivity with a particular focus on improving the systems' financial performance (Balance Sheet, Cash and Income Statement / Operations).

In addition, responsible for the development, implementation and use of financial software systems and models (Product line modeling, budgeting, financial reporting, productivity, etc.) to assist the Health Ministry Organization in understanding its financial performance in relationship to the industry, market and with respect to its long-term financial and operational strategies.

**What the Finance Manager will do:**

+ Facilitates the completion of the Long Range Multi-Year Financial Plan and Annual Operating and Capital Budgets for Saint

+ Mary's Health Care business units in coordination of the overall Trinity Health Operating and Capital Budget timeline and requirements.

+ Designs, develops and implements financial software systems and models used to support the Health Ministry Organization's data and financial information needs related to strategic planning, capital and operating budgeting, contracting, operational management, productivity and financial reporting.

+ Assures the integrity of the Hospital's Charge Master (CDM) by providing sound advice and leadership as it relates to individual procedures charged, CPT codes, billing requirements and compliance issues.

+ Oversee preparation and development of month-end revenue and cost reports supporting Pine Rest Joint Venture. Prepare reimbursement analysis of psychiatric product line. Ensures that general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) are met in the journal entries, account analysis, documentation and assistance, and audit work papers related to the receivable, reserve and allowance accounts.

** What the Finance Manager will need:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, minimum.

+ Broad based experience knowledge of finance, the health care industry, financial, business planning, reimbursement, charge master, cost accounting / product line analysis and budgeting normally obtained over five to eight years of progressive financial experience.

+ Strong track record of working successfully with members of the Senior Leadership Team, physicians, management and staff. Demonstrated experience in conducting training / educational sessions for management.

+ In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry, reimbursement, payors, hospital / clinic operations; strong communication skills and relationship management including Senior Leadership Team, physicians, management and Trinity Health Corporate office; must demonstrate the ability to provide leadership and to motivate and to influence others to achieve results with and without direct line accountability; must possess a high level of analytical and conceptual ability, strong creativity and the ability to develop and use computer software systems and models; persistent and able to keep things moving on multiple fronts.
