What we offer:
We have a specialized licensing and comprehensive training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses to start and grow a successful Financial Advisor career.
We will sponsor your pursuit of full registration and licensing as a Financial Advisor using our tools and resources to guide you through the process.
You will prepare and test for your SIE, S6, S63, S65 and state Life & Health licenses.
Upon successful completion of the licensing phase, First Command may offer you the opportunity to join our paid training program with a local district office.
As you begin this career, your First Command Financial Advisor salary will consist of an hourly wage for 3 months, initially expected to be minimum wage in the state in which you are employed. After three months, you may transition to a salaried position that offers progressive incentives during for the remainder of the nine-month paid training period.

At the conclusion of the paid trainee program, First Command may offer you the opportunity to become an independent contractor Financial Advisor with First Command, through which you can control your career trajectory and be compensated based on your work and the results you achieve as an independent contractor.
There is no cap on your earning potential: Your compensation reflects your effort and is based on competitive commissions, residual income, bonuses, and deferred compensation. The average compensation during the first year as an independent contractor Financial Advisor with First Command ranges in commissions and bonuses.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President, FP&A, this role is responsible for focusing on financial planning and analysis with the primary focus on supporting the IT department. The ideal person for this role is data-driven, with the ability to understand the bigger picture and provide business partnering support across the Finance and IT teams. This support activity includes general accounting activities such as accruals and expense management as well as general financial analysis and planning activities related to budgeting and forecasting. This role also supports the logistics function with responsibility for review of inbound/outbound freight invoices as well as the creation of accruals to support the accuracy and completeness of the GL as it relates to these functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide single point of contact support to the IT department for all Finance needs.
Support the preparation and submission of the IT department budget and forecast.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly finance activities related to the IT department.
Support the monthly close process with IT related items, Bus driveaway, Freight accruals as well as the monthly closing issues process.
Review and approve IT related purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
Evaluate IT related requests for expenditures to determine the appropriate classification (operating expense versus capital expense). Assist with the creation of associated requests for expenditure as needed.
Support internal and external audit requests on an as-needed basis
Lead/support global finance initiatives as required
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Performs continuing assignments involving the review of contractor cost performance reports. Develops knowledge of contractor cost estimating and accounting systems, management aspects of system programs and their relation to procurement, budget and planning. Performs basic evaluation tasks using checklists, equations and factors. Describes and presents the results of the routine, recurring cost and economic analysis studies both in written form and in formal and informal briefings. Identifies and describes critical assumptions and decision points for decision-makers. Prepares and presents statistical and narrative reports and briefings.
* Performs routine and recurring assignments in the formulation, development, and, execution of budgets, financial plans, and multi-year programs required to properly fund and meet program resource requirements. Participates in the development of system planning objectives by evaluating cost/schedule tradeoffs, budget requirements, etc.; and develops appropriate financial plans in consonance with Program Management Plans.
