Internship Position: Finance Intern
Duration: 9 weeks
Compensation: $20 per hour, 30 - 35 hours per week
Position Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated intern to join our Finance team. The intern will assist with the ERP data cleanup/preparedness project. Activities include standardization of project nomenclature and user-defined fields, maintenance/correction of fixed asset tagging, location field updates, and other data management/maintenance activities. This is a great opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience and contribute to Pacira's success.
Key Responsibilities:
The intern will work closely with the Finance, Engineering, Facilities, Manufacturing, & R&D functions to identify and correct potential errors or missing information in our fixed asset register.
They will have the opportunity to learn about how fixed asset accounting works at a publicly-traded life sciences company and will play an instrumental role in assisting the Site Controller to prepare for a prospective ERP implementation.
They will also gain practical experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze business data, working cross-functionally to research, summarize, and present findings to management decision-makers, and have opportunities to tour Pacira's FDA-regulated commercial manufacturing facilities and learn how pharmaceutical products are developed and manufactured.
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals.
Attend meetings and provide input on departmental initiatives.
Present final project(s) to key stakeholders within department
In addition to project work, the intern will have the opportunity to participate in lunch and learn activities, trainings and interactions with senior leadership
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college or university program as a full-time rising Junior or Senior.
Majoring in Finance, Accounting, Financial Accounting, Business Information Systems
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Maintain a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions
* Has functional knowledge to trade mortgage-backed securities, GSE cash whole loan commitments and other financial instruments in order to hedge interest rate risk of rate locks in the pipeline and closed loans.
* Execute electronic TBA trades through Bloomberg FIT Platform, GSE cash window and telephonically.
* Diligently observe market conditions including Intraday price changes of MBS, Treasury bonds, cash windows and private investor rate sheets.
* Applies developing knowledge to execute complex interest rate risk hedging and hedge related procedures.
* Assists in monitoring and hedging mortgage pipeline through use of MCT's hedging platform and the iSeries platform.

Job Summary:
Financial planning is the foundation of Mercer Advisors. The Financial Planning Group is a centralized group of paraplanners that supports Wealth Management Teams nationally to create customized and comprehensive personal financial plans. You will prepare comprehensive financial planning modules, utilizing various software and proprietary tools. Essential Job Functions for the Financial Planner will include:
Prepare financial plans for prospective clients, as well as clients, including spending plans, investment analysis, retirement projections, Social Security analysis, education-funding analysis, stock options analysis, estate-planning analysis, tax planning, asset protection, and risk management needs analysis.
Work with the sales team and advisors to collect documents from clients to prepare the financial plan.
Use financial planning tools (ex: eMoney, Morningstar, SS Analyzer, Excel worksheets, CRM, portfolio analysis) to create financial plans for clients.
Partner with sales and wealth advisor teams to deliver an exceptional, seamless client experience focusing on accuracy and timeliness.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
