Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

One of our clients is looking to add an Assistant Finance Director to their team. Essential Job Duties of the Assistant Director of Finance • Oversees and develops procedures, policies, and controls necessary to provide accurate records of expenditures and budget balances for agency programs. • Assists the Grant Administrator in managing and monitoring the grant and contract accounting by budgets and deadlines to ensure proper and timely reporting to funding agencies. • Oversees and helps prepare annual operating budgets and reviews expenditures to ensure the budget limits are not exceeded. • Prepares and helps oversee the preparation and processing of the biweekly payroll. • Reviews and oversees accounting and financial documents for accuracy and compliance with purchasing & investment policies and procedures. • Prepares and oversees the preparation of monthly status reports of funds and expenditures. • Reviews and oversees the classification, coding, allocation, posting, and balancing of accounts payable. • Prepares and oversees the preparation of invoices for agency programs and reconciliation of receipts. • Works with the Grants Administrator to coordinate the accounts and grants receivable for all program areas. • Prepares and tracks purchase requisitions and purchase orders. • Reviews and prepares the reconciliation of bank accounts. • Research and oversee the reconciliation of discrepancies and report findings. • Oversees and assists with the preparation of the annual financial audit. Education and Basic Requirements • Five (5) years experience in accounting and financial operations. • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Experience with grants and contracts, government accounting, and computerized accounting applications. • Have and maintain an acceptable driving record and Texas Class C Operator's License. • Applicants with CPA certification will be given preference. • Applicants with a working knowledge of Tyler software will be given preference.
