As an Associate Investment Analyst on the Investment Management team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Investment Strategist in building out the firm's economic and investment commentary and perspectives. Responsibilities:
* Help build and support a suite of macroeconomic and investment analysis to support wealth clients in their understanding of the economy, markets and personal finance challenges. This includes building chart books, short papers, presentations, sales ideas, social media posts, educational materials and perspectives on current events that help clients, financial planners [advisors] and the public (media) make sense of the current moment.
* Collaborate with Investment Management colleagues and specifically support the Chief Investment Strategist to develop and produce compelling content that supports EFE's investment philosophy, capabilities and point of view.
* Stay on top of macro and market events and look for ways to draw out stories, themes and perspectives.
* Collaborate with financial planners [advisors] to ensure they are equipped with sufficient knowledge and perspective to best serve their clients.
* Bring a commercial lens to the role, working proactively and collaboratively with the Marketing and Financial Planner teams to ensure investment content is timely, engaging and helpful to our clients.
Requirements:
* B.S. or B.A. degree in economics, finance or a related field with an excellent academic record.
* 5+ years of experience in the investment industry (can be banking, wealth or asset management) in a research or analytical role, including contributions to thought leadership, or an MBA.
* Deep interest in macroeconomics and investing and enjoys following and understanding financial markets and working with data to bring stories to life.
* Has demonstrated skills working with financial data using Bloomberg, Excel and other tools.
* Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $112,300 - $149,700. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.

How Your Work Impacts the Organization
As a Wealth Planner, your passion, expertise, and commitment to long-standing relationships and personalized financial planning will attract, serve, and retain clients that are looking for more personalize and dedicated financial planning.
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $200,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
