2012 – Transformation to FINCA Tanzania M.F.C Limited FINCA Tanzania becomes the first microfinance institution to be licensed by the Central Bank of Tanzania, becoming FINCA Tanzania M.F.C Limited.
2012 The bank launches gold-backed lending and surpasses 1 billion PKR in outstanding Gross Loan Portfolio.
2013 – Transition to Deposit-Taking Institution FINCA Tanzania is licensed to offer banking services by the Central Bank of Tanzania
2013 The bank is acquired by FINCA and re-brands as FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd.
2014 – Launch of FINCA Express (Agency Banking) 2014 – Transition from FINCA Tanzania M.F.C Ltd to FINCA Microfinance Bank
2015 – FINCA Tanzania becomes a full-service bank After 17 years of operations as a microfinance institution, FINCA Tanzania opens a new chapter as a full-service bank
