The Income Tax Senior, along with the income tax staff accountant, is responsible for assisting the Senior Director in gathering of data, preparation and filing of all income tax returns. This position is also responsible for conducting tax research, assisting with income tax accounting under ASC 740 and with the development, implementation, and execution of efficient processes. Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Prepares and reviews federal, state and local income tax workpapers and returns using OneSource Income Tax with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Work with income tax accountant with monthly analysis of fixed assets and calculation of tax depreciation.
Assist with preparation of the half-year and annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
Assist with the preparation of estimated payments and submitting payments online
Assist with audits as required
Participate in special projects and responsibilities as assigned
Assist other department members as needed
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of related experience. CPA preferred.
Tax Compliance experience required.
ASC 740 experience preferred.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Excel. Knowledge with Onesource and Alteryx preferred but not required.
