Under the direction of the Operations Superintendent and Shift Lead, the Finishing Operator processes bulk material on saws, straighter, and heat treat furnaces, and bundles for shipping. Finishing Operators must be flexible and willing to work any shift as needed to train and fill in for others on vacation or leave and/or to support production requirements.
You will have the opportunity to:
Processes cast material in the roll straightener and cut-to-length saws. Loads and programs heat treating and annealing equipment following standard operating procedures set up by Quality Control. Uses various exact measuring devices and documents the results. Sets up the straighteners to process the cast materials. Follows specific shipping instructions based on customer requirements. Schedules loading of materials using various freighting companies. Performs minor maintenance tasks as needed. Performs and assists in cleaning the facility and equipment to meet Company standards. May be required to assist in other skilled or unskilled tasks as required by others. Will be expected to cross-train in other areas in the Plant. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to accurately use measuring devices (tape measure, caliper, and micrometer).
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
