* Build and maintain trusted relationships with current branch customers, Electrical and General Contractors
* Identify fire alarm system upgrades, moves, adds and change opportunities
* Cold call facilities, Electrical and General Contractors for new relationships
* Coordinate lunch and learns for prospective contractors and customers about our products
* Maintain pipeline data in Ignite - Sales Tracker
* Interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
* Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices

Job Summary:
- The Alarms lead will be responsible to ensure that any repairs, modifications, additions, upgrades, etc are compatible with existing communication and alarm systems.
- Responds to customer service calls in a timely, and efficient manner, troubleshoots, and repairs as needed. Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements for time, material, emergency service, test, and inspect contractual agreements.
- Completes necessary documentation in accordance with the company's service guidelines. Communicates with central dispatch on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues daily following the service process. Participates in an after-hours service program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on fire alarm panels and components.
- Inspects, tests, maintains, and repairs installed fire alarm detection systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and National Fire Protection Association standards (NFPA).
- Performs tests on all exterior and interior indicating devices including audio speakers, strobes, bells, horns, pull stations, fire flows and tamper switches.
- Operates, Maintains and repairs all Fire Alarm System primary facilities and accessory systems for building interior fire alarm systems.
- Performs periodic alarm maintenance.
- Program fire alarm panels and detectors with addresses identified individual devices.
- Inspect, repair, test, and install fiber optic cables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Shall have National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Fire Alarm Systems Level III certification or an Electrical Journeyman Certification. The Alarms lead will be responsible for overseeing the inspection, testing, and maintenance program which includes all personnel that have NICET inspection certifications.
- Shall have and maintain current New Mexico licensure (ES-3J defined under New Mexico Administrative Code 14.6.6.10.C(6)) and shall have not less than the fire alarm system manufacturer's minimum recommended training, qualifications, and certifications for each type of system.
- Siemens, Honeywell, Monaco and/or Notifier Systems Certification is required.
- Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and prepare daily reports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management and the client. Read and interpret building diagrams and technical manuals.
- Must meet citizenship requirements and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
- Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
