- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20, & 25.
- Ability to be compliant with code and remain up to date with current fire suppression systems and sprinkler heads. Working knowledge in the installation of Steel pipe, CPVC, C-900 & ductile iron piping.
- Working knowledge and understanding of how to read and interpret fire sprinkler and architectural plans.
- Ability to solve problems using NFPA code Knowledge of alarm systems.
- Ability to verify system function by testing equipment, connections and signals Identify and correct any problems.
- Ability to maintain electronic records by documenting installations.
- Must posses a strong understanding of the service process, internal drive, accountability, persistence and a “customer first” attitude, exceptional communication, organizational skills and attention-to-detail, as well as a professional presentation at all times.
- Need to be flexible in regards to work hours and the willingness to work in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to maintain current licenses and certification, and when required, obtain additional licenses and certifications.
- Ability to learn new skills and technology.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter.
- WA State Fitters card.
- Must be able to obtain NICET II certification within 9 months of start date.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
