Fire Systems of Michigan is based in Novi, MI and has an excellent team of 30+ employees that are responsible for the installation and inspection of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, and fire extinguishers. Fire Systems of Michigan has an extensive customer base with over 5,000 fire systems that we perform recurring inspection and repair services throughout the region. The company is continually growing through its internal sales and marketing activities, strong reputation and business acquisitions.

Job Description
Perform service work and repairs of Kitchen Fire Suppression systems in accordance with NFPA and local Authority Having Jurisdiction. Technician will need a deep understanding of multiple kitchen suppression systems, and what is needed to properly inspect, service, and repairs to these types of systems. Technicians need to be technology savvy because all repairs and inspections are to be input into the company's Service Trade application, with appropriate comments, information, pictures, videos, and other descriptions to properly explain the work performed. During inspections and repairs, technicians will be expected to accurately discern and document deficiencies, the materials and labor required to complete the repairs of the deficiencies.

Salary - per hour based on experience

Typical Duties
 Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems manufactured by

ANSUL, Pyro Chem, RangeGuard, Kidde and Piranha.
 Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
 Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
 Identifying NFPA code and non-conformance issues.
 Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
 Perform fire marshal tests and inspections.

Qualifications
 Two or more years' experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems preferred, but not required.
 Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
 High school diploma or equivalent.
 Must be 21+ years of age, with valid driver's license & clean driving record Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be customer oriented.
 Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. climb/work from ladders, work in confined spaces, and work over head
 Must be able to work varied hours including early morning, occasional evenings, and weekend shift when needed. Ability to be on-call on rotation basis.
