What You Will Do: Meets with new treatment patient and reviews any patient access needs and /or barriers to care prior to and throughout treatment. Monitors daily new patient encounters, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining benefits to determine eligibility, obtains initial and subsequent authorization and pre-certification, and documents accordingly. Assists the clinical team with tracking visits and obtaining re-certification from insurance companies. Verifies current insurance coverage, including out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, and/or coinsurance and provides cost of care estimates when needed. Assists patients in overcoming financial barriers within the health care system to ensure prompt diagnosis and treatment. Ensures maximum optimization of patient's health benefits and coordination of service to facilitate medical necessity throughout the patient's care continuum. Facilitates the involvement of community organizations that can help with access to services. Coordinates all payer co-pay on-line assistance programs and assists patients with applications. Works with financial counseling and charitable organizations to access financial assistance, co pay assistance, prescription assistance, and/or drug replacement as needed. Acts as the patient's direct point of contact for all insurance and billing concerns. Tracks problem encounters and works closely with coding, patient accounting on denials and medical necessity issues to assist in resolution and process improvement. Assists with coordinating transportation and completed mileage forms for patients as needed. Assesses and completed advanced care planning for cancer patients. Meets with cancer patients who are experiencing psychosocial distress as indicated by RN assessment or completion of a distress screening. Provides emotional support to patients and assists with outgoing referrals as needed. Monitors and reports outcome measurements. Tracks grants and alternative funding. Assists with chemotherapy and radiation authorizations as needed for coverage in other areas of the infusion center and cancer center. Conducts ongoing outreach to health disparity communities. What You Will Need: Must complete the Association of Community Cancer Center Financial Bootcamp within one year of hire and the Advanced Care Planning Course for cancer center navigators. Experience with pre-authorization and working with insurance companies preferred. Knowledge of Medicare/CMS terminology and coverage is beneficial. Must have the skills to verify commercial insurance/Medicare and the ability to obtain benefits to determine eligibility. Tracks problem encounters and works closely with coding, patient accounting on denials and medical necessity issues to assist in resolution and process improvement. What You Will Do: Performs Cardiac Ultrasound Testing (echocardiography) Interacts with and educates patients regarding echocardiography Performs scans; using the M-mode, 2-D (color flow), and Doppler according to established protocol Informs physicians of observations, as needed Completes documentation utilizing echocardiography worksheet Collaborates with RN to perform contrast ECHO study when deemed necessary Ensures documentation of study Utilizes left lateral decubitus position for exam Identifies suboptimal images and utilizes strategies to maximize image quality Maintains performance level of suboptimal exams below established benchmark Ensures timely completion and distribution of dictated and transcribed reports Supports accreditation standards and assists in maintaining ICAEL accreditation status Preparation for Cardiac Stress Testing Interacts with and educates patients regarding cardiac stress test Reinforces and ensures patient understanding of procedure Attaches/disconnects electrodes; prepares set-up of stress testing equipment Obtains blood pressure and assists patients during testing. What You Will Need: Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or a minimum of 3 years experience in cardiopulmonary specialty procedures. Cardiac Echo certification is required. BLS required. What You Will Do: Under the general supervision of the Director & Executive Chef, supervises and coordinates activities of all Nutritional Services employees, performs essential clerical duties associated with the nutritional care and provides excellent customer service to all patients and customers in the cafeteria. Performs other related duties. Supervises the overall function for all areas within the kitchen including staff compliance to procedures, sanitation, floor care, dish-room operation, patient meal service, catering, cafeteria operation, diet office, and hostesses. Reports all performance policy violations and behavioral policy violations to the Director. Coaches and instructs staff to perform according to standard when observation of performance or behavior requires improvement. Answers telephone, taking messages and relaying information as needed. Handles all clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Director & Executive Chef. Coordinates special functions. Updates and posts special function information 3 days prior to function date. Assembles all information for special functions, nourishment, and purchases, and makes available to the Administrative Assistant. Responsible for communicating with the organizer of the special functions. Performs daily cash procedures and deposits for the cafeteria and Java City. Orders change and supplies the cash register drawers with the correct balance of currency and coins. Coordinates nourishment requests. Supervises Dietary Services employees' preparation of trays on tray line. Supervises dish room, pot washing area and various cleaning jobs to ensure that proper techniques are used and that established procedures and standards are maintained in all work areas. Takes ownership with schedule - covering shift, making sure we have enough staff to support the shift. Assures that all temperature logs are complete throughout the kitchen, this includes: Dish-machine log completed for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day Patient food temperature log for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day Refrigerator logs for opening and closing shifts Hot food logs for the cafeteria. Corrective action to address non-compliant temperatures are addressed and corrected. Dish-machine repair contacts are made to address malfunctioning equipment and follow-up with the Director/Executive Chef to assure repair is made. Inspects patient's trays for attractiveness, palatability, and temperature. Checks trays for accuracy and places into food cart. Observes methods of food preparation, cooking, and sizes and portions to ensure food is prepared in the prescribed manner. Inspects work, storage, and serving areas to ensure that safety and sanitation procedures are followed. Locks refrigerator and doors leading to department at the end of the day; inspects each work station at the end of each shift to ensure that all stations are in satisfactory condition for the next day. Provides training and assists with orientation of new employees; counsels employees when appropriate and uses suitable coaching or disciplinary action to address employee issues. Supervises cafeteria employees to ensure that the standards of service are maintained. Actively looks for ways to improve customer service and ways to improve financial and operational performance of the dietary department. What You Will Need: High School diploma or equivalent. Three consecutive years of food service experience. Two years of proven supervisory experience. One-year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred. What you will do: Obtains, verifies, updates and scans patient information and provides support services to patients and medical staff Verifies patient's current insurance coverage through insurance websites Collects and posts co-pays and past due balances, and completes any necessary forms obtaining signatures as necessary Obtains prior authorizations and pre-certifications as needed Manages referrals through EMR Follows all incentive guidelines by helping the practice meet a variety of incentive program goals, including Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home Performs daily banking through Virtual Merchant and FRMC cashiers Prepares a daily financial spreadsheet for practice Ensure the submission of timely, accurate and complete information to the Central Billing Office Uses collection management reports to keep accounts receivable current Looks for instances of Red Flag Identity theft patterns and reports potential threats to Privacy Officer Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records according to federal, state or local guidelines Maintains medical appointments for patients Answers phones in a pleasant manner, screens calls following clinic guidelines to appropriately and expeditiously direct caller Maintains clean, orderly waiting area including patient message board, children's area, and reading materials Organizes and maintains an inventory system to ensure adequate levels of supplies with emphasis on patient care and cost containment Demonstrates Competence related to the application of our core values. Practices all facets of Health & Safety Demonstrates competence in communication, professionalism, organizational and analytical skills, and technical/professional skills and knowledge in performance of duties and responsibilities rendered to the customer population served. What you will need: High school graduate; vocational education preferred. Experience in medical ambulatory setting. Current CPR certification or obtained within 3 months of employment and maintained. Proficient in the use of personal computers with strong typing skills. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is desired. Eligibility: All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States. As a condition of employment, employee will have annual tuberculin testing. Initial testing upon hire will consist of a 2-step tuberculin test, symptom survey, or chest x-ray. Employees can elect to have the Hepatitis vaccine or sign a wavier to decline due to prior vaccination. Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and insurable under Firelands auto policy. Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request. Successful completion of a 90 day get-acquainted period.

What You Will Do: Assists with delivering patient care: obtain patient vital signs, assist with feeding, toileting, hygiene care, finger-stick blood sugar readings, maintain skin integrity, perform EKGs, and ambulate and transfer patients. Perform routine procedures including surgical skin preps and enemas. Schedules diagnostic procedures/tests/appointments, effectively communicating and co-coordinating orders with Physicians, Charge Nurses, direct care givers, ancillary departments, and other facilities. Answers call lights timely and notifies appropriate personnel of patient needs immediately. Demonstrates service excellence and strives to assist the unit to meet established goals for our patient satisfaction. Recognizes significant changes in patient's condition and takes appropriate action. Collect data, report information and/or perform interventions for the purpose of improving a variety of quality issues. Obtain patient information/data and observes confidentiality. Orders and enters charges for procedures, supplies, equipment as applicable. Reports problems or concerns to the appropriate person or department and will assist in the resolution whenever possible. Must be flexible, maintain adaptability, and be a team player. Positive professional communication skills and guest relations; projects a positive impression of the Medical Center. Perform VS, height, weight, and visual acuity in triage. Assist with sterile field set up for suturing and procedures. May perform other patient care activities as trained and directed by the RN. What You Will Need: Previous hospital experience preferred. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Current BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
