Position Summary Responsible for performing a variety of duties including but not limited to: greeting patients, vendors, and other visitors and notifying appropriate staff of their arrival, operating telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls, scheduling of patient appointments, obtaining current and accurate insurance information each visit, verifying coverage through insurance company, obtaining pre-certifications or prior authorizations as needed, maintaining daily accurate records for timely billing of accounts, notifying patients of account status and payments due using collection techniques to assist in keeping accounts receivable current. Performs daily banking through Virtual Merchant and FRMC cashiers 8. Prepares a daily financial spreadsheet for practice 9. Ensure the submission of timely, accurate and complete information to the Central Billing Office 10. Uses collection management reports to keep accounts receivable current 11. Looks for instances of Red Flag Identity theft patterns and reports potential threats to Privacy Officer 12. Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records according to federal, state or local guidelines 13. Maintains medical appointments for patients 14. Answers phones in a pleasant manner, screens calls following clinic guidelines to appropriately and expeditiously direct caller 15. Maintains clean, orderly waiting area including patient message board, children's area, and reading materials 16. Organizes and maintains an inventory system to ensure adequate levels of supplies with emphasis on patient care and cost containment 17. Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific: The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards. Summary: The Lead Radiation Therapist is the supervisor over the Radiation Therapy team at Riverside Methodist Hospital Radiation Oncology. They are responsible for maintaining adequate staff levels and making sure all the LINAC machines are well staffed. They maintain and prepare the daily schedule and the call schedule for our team. They partner with the providers and the nursing team to deliver high quality care to our patients and are the connecting link between the Radiation Therapy team and the department manager. They are responsible for addressing the immediate concerns of the radiation therapy team and escalating them when appropriate. They maintain a high quality of care by reviewing charts and making sure all the required parameters and hard stops are in place. What You Will Do: * The Network Infrastructure Supervisor is a critical role tasked with ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the Firelands IT infrastructure and network operations. The Network Infrastructure Supervisor will oversee the implementation and maintenance of our infrastructure systems, aligning them with business goals and technology trends to support our evolving healthcare system needs. In this leadership role, the Network Infrastructure Supervisor will lead a team of IT professionals, collaborate with various departments, and assure resources take actions to optimize performance, security, and scalability or the IT infrastructure. The person in this role will be focused on supervising the team in primary support of the health system technology infrastructure, including all data center and disaster recovery sites, physical and virtual servers, storage and backup infrastructure, server operating systems, wired and wireless local and wide area networks and all telecommunications. They will also play a key role in the selection, design, development, implementation, upgrades and support of the technology infrastructure that will impact health system patient care delivery and operations. What You Will Need: * Bachelor's degree in related field and five (5) years of work experience with increasing leadership responsibility preferred. Cisco Certification or equivalent required. What You Will Do: * Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, provides treatment services within scope of practice. * Scope of services may include diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, and group therapy and/or observation thereof during the internship/training process. * Patients will be assigned by supervisor and may include youth, adults, and older adults with mental health/substance use disorders as agreed upon by the intern and supervisor in alignment with professional goals and requirements of internship. * All services with be documented within department guidelines and in compliance with rules/standards set forth by Medicaid/Medicare, ACHC, OhioMHAS, and CARF. * Intern must have successfully completed practicum requirements. * Intern must be invested in professional growth and responsive to supervision and constructive feedback. Ensures all electronic forms of communication, that include PHI, are compliant with HIPAA and 42 CFR laws regarding confidentiality. * Payment per hour for treatment services, documentation, and agency required trainings/meetings. Time spent for activities outside of these tasks, specific to requirements from the university are excluded i.e. time spent meeting with Firelands supervisor, professor and intern to discuss progress. What you will do: * Responsible for the Gross dissection of large and small surgical specimens, using standard dissection protocols, identifying and submitting pathologic tissues for histological processing and evaluation; obtaining and preparing samples for studies such as flow Cytometry, image analysis, cytogenetics, cultures, electron microscopy, and immunofluorescence. * Dictates accurate and precise gross descriptions for each specimen * Assist with dissection and tissue sampling of specimens sent for intra-operative consultation * Performs frozen work and reviews all frozen section reports as required by the Medical Director on a regular basis for quality assurance, with final review and assessment by pathologists. * Instructs pathology residents, fellows, and pathology assistant students in surgical pathology if applicable. * Responsible for maintenance of surgical pathology/cytology protocols, procedures, reports and data * Assure provision of adequate supplies for cleanliness of the surgical pathology area * Collects cases for quality assurance retrospective review and assists in preparation for Accreditation inspections such as (CAP, State of Ohio, HFAP, etc) * Maintains current certification and remain current in practice through continuing medical education * Assists in the coordination of Pathology conferences * Generates digital pictures of gross pathology and microscopic exam for tumor board meetings * Assists in accessioning duties in Pathology, and collection of specimens from hospital patient care areas and attains clinical history What You Will Need: REQUIREMENTS Route 1: Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists' Assistant program providing academic and practical training leading to either a master's degree or a bachelor's degree. The employee must be eligible to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Certification exam. Route 2: Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university in the field of health science, AND full time acceptable on the job training experience as a Pathologists' Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology. The employee must be eligible to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Certification exam. CPR/BLS certification preferred. Knowledge with safety rules and regulations, management techniques, laws and the legal interpretations, which influence the practice of within the Laboratory and Pathology Department. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, medical terminology and physiology sufficient to identify, dissect, and describe certain surgical specimens. Knowledge of dissection, sectioning techniques and appropriate procedure of handling tissue. Demonstrated job knowledge of histopathologic techniques and methods. Knowledge of methods used to obtain clinical history including scans, x-rays, laboratory data, etc. when indicated. Familiarity with dictation and dictation equipment and computer are beneficial. Prefer previous experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement Initiatives.
