Summary:
Extrusion Operator is responsible for running extrusion machines, packing and moving pipe to storage location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Starting up extruder, monitoring material flow, making adjustments to extruder and downstream equipment as needed.
Inspecting and identifying poor quality pipe using micrometer, pie tape, etc.
Packing pipe per standards with strapping tool, weighing pipe and moving to designated storage area with forklift.
Keeping work area up to 5S housekeeping standards including operating sweeper as necessary.
Responsible for performing minor repairs on pipe racks, printers, etc.
Assisting set-up instructor as necessary.
Assisting Tool & Die and Maintenance personnel in repair of equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
* Gathers/reviews/distributes safety-related statistical information
* Monitors site-specific programs/requirements/compliance
* Recognizes and follows PCL and local legislative requirements
* Anticipates questions based on experience, knowledge, and understanding of client needs
* Conceptually visualizes a completed project or project component (e.g., generator installation process)
* Recognizes behaviors, conditions, and activities that can adversely affect health
* Interprets simple work sequences
* Liaises effectively with project and field management
* Applies basic knowledge of behavioral concepts
* Interprets, communicates, and reinforces project safety standards to workforce
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) industry
* A desire to pursue a career as an HSE professional
* Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
* 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver's License
* Willing to work and live as assigned in the USA.
* Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations
* This is an hourly non-exempt position
* Must be able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis, climb ladders and stairs
* Must be able to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment
