We are currently seeking a Construction Inspector to help serve our connection of clients and community. The CEI will oversee and monitor infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications, design plans, and regulatory standards. This role involved acting as the primary on-site representative for the project owner, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate successful project completion. Your Primary Responsibilities will include Conduct on-site inspections of water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pump stations, storage tanks, and distribution systems. Verify construction and installation work complies with design plans, specifications, codes, and regulations. Document observations through detailed inspection reports, photographs, and daily logs. Monitor contractor activities to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards. Identify deficiencies, potential risks, or non-compliance issues and communicate findings to project managers and engineers. Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation when appropriate. Participate in project meetings to provide inspection updates and support problem resolution. Assist in testing, commissioning, and start-up inspections of equipment and systems. Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance during construction and operations. Maintain accurate records of inspections, progress reports, and any corrective actions required. What you'll need Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Previous experience inspecting water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, or related infrastructure. Knowledge of construction practices, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (AWWA, EPA, OSHA, state/local regulations). Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and report writing capabilities. Familiarity with construction testing procedures (concrete, coatings, pipelines, mechanical/electrical systems). Competence in using inspection tools, field measurement equipment, and software (e.g., MS Office, inspection apps). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple job sites. Professional certifications preferred but not required (e.g., Certified Construction Inspector, NICET, CWEA).
