What Can I Expect as a Crisis Support Associate (CSA)?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your role will be instrumental in helping residents live independently, achieve personal goals, and improve their quality of life.
Daily Responsibilities Include:

Crisis Support: Provides 1:1 support and crisis supervision to individuals with high-intensity behaviors in our programs throughout Northern Virginia.

MaineHealth Neurology is seeking a full-time board certified/eligible Neurologist with a 2-year surgical epilepsy fellowship to join our Neurology Department as Medical Director of Intracranial Epilepsy Monitoring Program. The Medical Director will have responsibilities for patient care as well as development of our intracranial monitoring program. This position is based on the MaineHealth Scarborough Campus with on-site MRI and neurodiagnostic lab, and the nearby EMU at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Opportunities for research are supported through MaineHealth Institute for Research and committed time for research could be accommodated through a dedicated academic pathway.
Our Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is a level III Epilepsy Center and treats over 4000 patients per year. Our program currently consists of five epileptologists (three adult and two pediatric), two dedicated nurse practitioners, five nurses, and nurse navigator. We work collaboratively with our fellowship-trained epilepsy/functional neurosurgeon, neuroradiologists, nuclear medicine, and dedicated neuropsychologist and psychometrician as we develop a level IV comprehensive epilepsy program. We have 5 EMU beds (three adult and two pediatric beds) in addition to a fully accredited, inpatient and outpatient neurodiagnostics labs and 3T MRI.
Opportunity Highlights:
Join a well-established Neurology Department consisting of 35+ sub-specialty trained Adult and Pediatric neurologists, Neurohospitalists, and Advanced Practice Professionals supported by a robust clinical and administrative team, including onsite pharmacist, behavioral health counselor, social worker, neuropsychologist and psychometrician.
Hospital admission service, stroke and telestroke care, as well as after-hours phone call coverage is provided by a team of dedicated Neurohospitalists.
Inpatient coverage is limited to an equitable share of daytime coverage on the neurology consult service four to five weeks per year.
Opportunity to teach MaineHealth Neurology residents in our onsite neurology residency (4 residents/year), residents and fellows from other departments, and Tufts MS IV and other rotating medical students.
Academic appointment is conferred through affiliation with Tufts medical school and opportunities for academic advancement are available.

The Patient Support Specialist, under the direction of the Supervisor, is responsible for providing patient health care services enabling access to care for prescription medications. This individual will be interacting directly with patients, physicians, and/or pharmacies related to providing access to care on behalf of our client's copay assistance programs. This individual is part of a highly concierge ‘white glove' service team that will manage the patient experience from start to finish by providing program information, eligibility, reimbursement support, and general assurances and ease of use in supporting our client's copay assistance programs. Responsibilities
What You will Do:
Responds to inbound phone calls and claims (as well as outbound calls) to/from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, services their access to care and reimbursement needs and responds. Focus on patient empathy and the consumer experience with the goal to assure our patients on ease of use of program goals and ultimately driving access to care and medication adherence. Based on volume, may also process claims and/or may answer phones.
Refers requests for escalation as needed and engages other internal areas such as Program Management, IT and other Contact Center teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Call Center operating metrics and performance management experience (a plus)

As a Living Skills Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the treatment plan of assigned clients, coordinating their appointments, and ensuring seamless communication with external providers and team members. You'll play an essential role in overseeing the care of individuals, guiding them toward successful outcomes while maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate will also be confident in collaborating with the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager, and may occasionally perform their duties in their absence, such as ordering medications, scheduling appointments, and managing staff tasks. You will be entrusted with delegating responsibilities to ensure smooth operations within the program.

Qualifications:

Position Summary:
The Respite Support Specialist supports activities of the Exceptional Family Member (EFM) Respite Care Team. They are responsible for the recruitment, training, and monitoring of care providers. Additionally, they serve as liaison between participating families and Child Care Aware of America. They will regularly engage in verbal and written communication between partner agencies, families, and providers. This position requires strong organizational skills and critical thinking. Regular communication to Providers, Families and Respite Team are critical to success in the position.
Essential Functions:
1. Meet with families and EFM children to identify their unique needs.
2. Work individually and as a team member to match participating families with appropriate respite care provider(s).
3. Conduct in-home monitoring visits to observe and assess environments and provider practices and provide technical assistance which includes mentoring, role modeling, and ongoing consultation as needed to ensure program standards are met.
