First Citizens Bank reviews

I have been working for this company more than 5 years. I would not recommend any investment with First Citizens Bank. They are the worst performer on the market based on the customer and employee reviews, because all smart people have already left this company. Very poor management, toxic, politic based, cheep environment. Lots of lawsuits with the companies they acquire. They do not maintain quality employees and management only cares about their own bonus. HR does not exist and covers management wrong doing. During my career, I have been volunteering and working hard and doing a great job, may manager was Orlando.Torres. I was never reworded, no promised bonuses. Their politics to keep people scared, instead of rewording for a good job. They changed my remote work from home status to work in the office and without any explanation. They were sending emails to all current employees and asking people on writing positive revues to cover up their chaos. I have been dismissed during taking medical leave on PTO and my PTO has never been paid. Overall, I would not recommend this job to a friend.

You have a job

Low pay compared to peers. Cheap bank. No bonuses. They only value sale people ( more $$ for the family) and create a class system within the bank. Haves and have nots.

You have a job. Benefits are expensive compared to peers of what you pay vs get. Benefits are horrible here. Only thing on par with peers is 401k payout (it’s comparable to peers); everything else is not comparable to peers and is below average.

Nothing they are siloed in their world mailing money off hard working employees who aren’t paid well for their hard work

Pay bonuses to all like normal. Adopt SVB initiatives and survey how miserable and fearful your employees are to say anything to HR because HR doesn’t listen and is a southern boys club mentality

Lowered compared to peers. This is a cheap bank

Diversity is sorely lacking

Teaches you to be tough & handle working in a toxic environment.

Toxic people; unprofessional; gossip-ridden; horrible management.

My favorite moment was when I quit.

Nothing- I believe in the ‘trickle down’ theory - if this company can be so toxic - it must come from the top.

Give much better training to managers.

The same way you would prepare for any interview.

It was definitely below average.

Diversity seemed good.

I love helping customers and I love the associates. There is amazing alignment on doing the right thing.

Absolutely nothing.
